From what I can tell the official HUD of PD3 has a Infectionhud style (due to the characters' portraits) but yeah makes sense
But seriously, I only create a HUD that has a unique mechanism from other games that is somehow possible to replicate.
Other than that, if it's just the same step all over again, it's going to be boring for me.
looks like user is left 4 dead (?)
I found this command line argument -gamepadui .
『
Enables the alternate controller-friendly UI used on Steam Deck.
Makes various UI elements larger.
When used, keyvalues in VGUI resource files tagged with $DECK will evaluate as true. This is used by default on Steam Deck and in Entropy : Zero 2; use -nogamepadui if the original UI is desired.
This also automatically enables DXVK; use -dx9 to prevent this. Only present with updates released since 2020 - 2022 in any of those games.
Note:
On Portal with RTX, to enable Gamepad UI, you must use -dx9 alongside it, otherwise it would break the renderer.
』
It's not something we're willing to test, I know--too niche of a use case. But it's interesting to find out, so I thought I'd share!
I am pretty sure that is caused by alt-tabbing the game, try to restart the game.
@valtiel
Unsubscribe from any crosshair add-on, this hud does not add any crosshair, it just adds support for most custom crosshair, what you are seeing in the preview is my personal one.
1: I would like to make it similar to the original game, and there's another reason for that, the health number and plus icon will be tricolor if I made the healthbar to be tricolor as well, which doesn't suit well with the game.
2: I am guessing you are refering to damage indicator, yes! I will try to make it more obvious, but it going to take some time as it's not going to be easy for me.
3: As much as I want to change it, there's a lot of add-ons that alter the item model, including the hud icon, so I never dared to change them since they will conflict.
Overall, thanks for the suggestion, and I am glad that you are enjoying my work.
I would like to make a few suggestions for your reference
1: Perhaps the health status can be distinguished by color, the original has three states of yellow, green and red health
2: The hit point display is not obvious, maybe it can be improved?
3: The inventory icon may be shaped like a pocket (medicine, epinephrine), backpack (medical bag, defibrillator)
Of course, this is just personal advice and you can ignore it if you don't like it
Sorry for not uploading any add-on for quite some time, I was on a week flight trip and right after I went back, my wifi went down for a few days. This doesn't mean that I am going to upload as regularly as before, I am started doing some energetic and managing university stuffs, so don't expect much.
I am slowly building my art imagination, now my old HUDs look visually ugly for me omg.
