You should also add what settlement and/or province the unit was recruited from. Would be cool if you used the Mod Configuration Tool to choose whether you want to add the settlement and/or province to the units name.

how would this react with Nanu's regiments of renown would it overwrite the name the renown unit would get. Also how dos it go with a saved game when you already have a number of units and for that matter empire state troops and ror units

Perhaps a delayed reaction
There are issues with Chinese translation
The numbering issue only exists on numbers 1-3
For example, currently it is the “帝国 第1一 长矛兵营地”
The correct usage should be“帝国 第1 长矛兵营”

Chinese characters in the numbering system
一=1
I don't know the usage of "营地"
Using "第XX营" to represent organization in the Chinese context

I don't know English, I apologize for any errors caused by the translation software。This is a great mod。

Might have a brain fart here, but maybe if users have "Sigmar's Heirs" activated, these units might suffer from double region renaming....? Ah no, I think they don't because the regional units like "Solland Spearmen" added by Sigmar's Heirs count as "modded units" and therefore won't be affacted like vanilla units by this mod, correct? <3

I have rediscovered this mod and gotta say it's the absolute bee's knees with Empire!!
But it would be indeed be very cool to just add a submod that e.g. removes all changes to other races than the Empire, if the user so desires <3

It's the kind of "my first mod" situation that any user that wants to give modmaking a try can only dream about - if anybody wants to give this a shot, let the others know. I can't mod but I'm pretty sure that to do that, one would have to find a central table that assigns the changes the mod makes to races and/or factions. The submod should - when present - basically hide/remove all changes here except to "reikland" or "empire" (race). Does that roughly make sense, @Filthy Pollo? Thanks!

P.S. Well, the multi language support might result in much longer tables :)

I noticed when fighting some Chaos Warriors that the names become incorrect when the units are upgraded. Had a unit of Knights of Nurgle labeled as marauders. I wasn't looking too close so thought maybe they were marauder horsemen, and was confused when they were cutting apart my dark riders so easily lol, then I looked closer. Would be nice if there is a way for the units to be renamed if they are upgraded.

@Leodensian if you play Queek's faction, you recruit some Clanrats then you get the correct counter as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Then other faction with Karl Franz, some units have skipped 3rd and 4th, so it might be taken from another playable faction in the first turn, I'm currently investigating this.

Love the mod. It's not clear what bugs you are already aware of other than the wrong counter for first turn so I will just describe the two issues I have seen so far playing the first few turns of an Empire campaign.
1. It looks like the new units added to the Altdorf garrison when it was upgraded to tier 2 have the special names applied, but not the original units. Not clear if this is working as intended. I wasn't expecting garrison units to be affected at all.
2. Recruited a secondary lord and four units of archers, who had the correct names. Then I recruited two units of spearmen to the same army, but instead of being the 1st and 2nd battalions (they were the first units of spearmen I had recruited in the game) they were the 5th and 6th battalions (matching their position in the army, rather than globally).

@Chuckawookie There is this mod called Regional Unit Rename, it seems that if it fits your idea, by default they recruit units with names from this region. You can also change region to province if you use MCT.

Hmm interesting. I've been doing this myself but renaming based on where the units were recruited from like Spearmen of Elistor or Rangers of Evershale. It's even more meaningful when you have the warband mod and those rangers become Swordmasters of Evershale while fighting somewhere far from home.

@Snek This mod does only by race, I tried to implement with nicknames or appropriate names of each unit and I had no success but it is possible if I find the solution in the next update, hopefully.

Neat. Can you differentiate names by unit or only by race? If you can do so by unit, having Empire Knights (knights, Reiksguard, and Demigryphs) called a Chapter would be thematic.

@Deathbringer Each type of unit you recruit is given a counter and a theme name, depending on which faction you play, to give your units an identity. If a unit dies, its number is lost forever and it will not come back in the next recruitment.

How the auto name work? Are we talking about like naming a unit and when it dies, and recruit the same unit it will be auto given the name, or are we talking about it auto names units for you?
