This mod does not configure seperate tomes, so it should still work. It changes research. But if it needed to be updated, i will surely do it, as soon as I have time.

Hey there, I was wondering if you could show me how to me make a similar mod to yours but with my own custom settings,

Rather than bugging you to create something specifically for me. I Opened your mod in the package file manage hoping to essentially make some tweaks to values but as far as I can see the package manager is just a container and doesn't seem to hold the modified definitions_research.rpk. So I opened up the definitions_research.rpk in the resource editor but it wasn't immediately obvious to me what to change to achieve what you have. Could you point me in the right direction.

Dalda, it definitely needs to update, Summoning and Amplification tomes were switched in the latest update, and they both appear as tier 2 with this mod installed. Please fix.

It seems like the research costs got broken after the recent updates. For example, certain research options in the Tome of Faith cost different amounts with the mod turned off. 200, 250, 300. With the mod turned on, it's costing 250 research for all of them. From what it looks like, it's just assigning a static number for all tomes and their researchables, and every tome researched makes the cost increase.

Yes, it does, because Amplification Tome should be tier 3 now, and both it and summoning show up as tier 2 on this mod, when using -any- of the variants, and I use 5-5-4-4-1.

Can you teach me how to modify Definitions_Research.rpk to limit the tomes? I try to play with the chapter setting within the file, doesn't seem to work

So it shouldn't. It restricts the number of tomes you select to research.

On second thought, what this mod does is restricting and allowing tiers of tomes to pick from on every cycle. So it does't matter, if you obtained for example Tome of Subjugation from event and after that you are going to choose tomes via research.

I honestly don't know. After you pick your tomes, its no problem if you get tomes as a reward. But I did not got reverse situation so far. If someone find your, let me know.

One question: if I unlock tomes through Wonders, does it count towards limit? I think it shouldn't.

Try at least one game with that mod and you will fully understand us all...

Some of us dost like, that if the game is quite long (I tend to play really long games) every player on the scene starts to look the same. Same enhancements, minor transformations, tome units, etc. Last update helped, but I still like to limit everyone on narrower build.

what does this mod achieve? why limiting tomes makes game better?

Guys please tell me if I should lower cycles between tome picks in variants, where are more tomes per tier, like 4-4-3-3-1 and 5-5-4-4-1. I fear you are stuck in lower tier for too long. Or if I should lower it globaly.

It is indeed compatible, at least it schoud be, I tried it with one mod that add tomes, and it worked.

And yes I intend to keep this working as long as game and modding tools allow me.
