I didn’t mean to come off like rude it’s just like the way u worded it, was kinda snarky nerd vibes, so I humbly accepted ur advice:steamhappy: I can’t necessarily solved the problem that’s why I said “do I need to know this” because even if I were to patch it it’s kinds the game devs job to make sure the game is optimized and it’s a long ass process that I can’t really control that. I should know I am an game dev..

i just noticed it was a pretty common complaint from people with lower end pcs in the community and decided to work out why-- turning the graphics down also doesn’t actually do a whole lot in this case since the only thing that’ll do is remove shadows and post processing and thats not the issue here. just thought id tell you in the hopes of a patch or correction of the error in future maps :3

sneaky buddy, this is the most basic map ever tho, I don’t think it necessarily matters about 2000 extra meshes it’s just a mod for a game it’s not an actual game on steam, besides I’ve played the map today as I read ur comment in a public server and nobody else complained about low fps.. so I appreciate the hospitality though do I really need to know this? Lmao TLDR: you can just turn the graphics down :steamsad:

hey! your map runs like shit (:3) and i know why
source maps are made of hundreds, if not thousands (in your case thousands) , of brushes- basically just a bunch of cuboids. in a source game this wouldn't be a problem since the maps are cleaned up before they every get played- however in the process of converting the map to a 3d model every brush has been turned into a seperate mesh! this is bad for many reasons that i'm sure you don't need explained. (unity maps are generally combined into just a few large meshes)
tldr; the map geometry sucks. a lot. and it causes performance issues :steamhappy:
