@ninjawizard I'm using Star Wars TIE Fighter - Modpack [WIP] for frontal piece. It's an old mod but works.

The mod has a lot of issues, but it's usable.

@Deapri I love this mod a lot, but it hasn't functional LCDs. Also vanilla target system is not working on it.

I wish an update, or rework.

using this cockpit still it works fine for a tie fighter some other attributes would be nice being able to use the dlc texture skins and lcd adaptation but as a cockpit it still is functional.

well i just tested it works but the screens are just static, so you cant use LCD scripts on it.. what a shame this was abandoned.. im looking for another one, i just need the frontal piece of the cokpit

To clarify, the interior textures seem to have vanished and all I see is whatever paint color and skin option is chosen for interior. Exterior does not take the new textures and seems to take on odd appearances, I did a light gray color with gold texture, outside became dark grey/black and half the inside became gold.

Any chance for some updates on this? Ironically the outside doesn't take new textures but all interior textures now take the new skins, making for some rather odd appearances with no LCDS.

Ossid, all through history there have been gods.. some "good" others "not so much" Gods of wine and the grape, gods of the water, oceans, sky's, fertility, death, decay, light, the sun, stars, ( I could go on ) I assume even the flying spaghetti monster counts to some degree.. you appear to be a gamer, if you aren't into role play style games or people who do.. that's cool.. @Valindor that's very odd considering the HP of this is muuch higher than the vanilla cockpit.
I'll look into what I can do about buffing it a little.

I am trying to use this in my survival game but it seems to be unsafe to use at all. Wtih 8 small turrets at max range on my ship the cockpit gets popped before they can even start to fire at the drone. Its like they snipe it right out and the only way i can cover it with more armor is to cover the window. Is it suppose to be that fragile? Or am I missing something? This last try I flew in backwards and it still some how popped my cockpit before I could return fire :/

Contents are deleted when grinding it down. Also, seconding Alb's suggestion to put a large port on the back, or maybe the bottom. Kinda silly to have to get out of a big protective cockpit to refill a bottle.

I figured, I can only really use this in Creative since my survival fighters are all High Speed Low Drag, speed is armor kinda dealy.

Definitely not advised for fast craft, since the cockpit on its own weighs in around 7 Tons depending on the mod you're running. Is there a reason why this thing weighs as much as some of my snub fighters do?

I don't think the CTD issue is solely because of this cockpit; I haven't used it on my builds in awhile, and my game crashes when I paste pretty much anything. The game seems to be having an issue with pasting grids with certain mod blocks on them. I've found that if you build/place mod blocks so that they exist in the world before pasting a ship that contains those same mods, it seems to get around the problem.

Numendar's not the only one, I've got the same issue with the Marauder, as soon as I paste any of the ships I have that use the Marauder Cockpit or this, the game CTD's.

Remove the cockpit from the build and all is well, but I adore the Marauder and would really prefer to keep it in use.

Aside from this little malfunction, stunning work.

This could stand to have a large conveyor port maybe on the back, so components can reach the cockpit to allow building-from-cockpit to work. Right now, it looks like there's only small conveyor ports, which works for gasses/ores/metals, but not the larger components.

Still, a fantastic looking eyeball cockpit! I do wish there was a bit more windows though, for looking around. Otherwise, still good.

No worries! Update: Rexxar(coder for SE) has said that a hotfix will be pushed out tomorrow. we shall see if it helps at all.

I'm aware thank you! At this point in time it's Keens fault. they broke their own cockpit (Check out the fighter cockpit and you'll see what I mean.) I've been unable to find anything that I can do with it so far but I will keep looking. However I wouldn't expect any custom cockpits to work until next weekend unless they release a hotfix

Using your very nice mod will cause a C2D since the today's update.
The game crashes by entering/leaving the cockpit via "f".

Crashes when entering any cockpit from todays patch when using this mod, worked fine before.
