Hi @Erin,
I just want to let you know, that currently Nuzoxs cant be treated with Odyssey's new 'Sentience catalyst'. Maybe you want to change this.

(I have sadly accepted that they don't nuzzle, no matter how cute they look. But according to your description, it's probably for the better! ;) )

Hi, I had a hybrid baby which inherited the father's genes and the tail from the father is set to "none only gene" according to the game. This would explain why I am not seeing the tail on the father but any ideas as to what might cause this error? I am using Ferny's modpack and have cleared my config files after every modpack update to make sure settings from removed mods dont mess things up.
Vinni Pukh 13 Jul @ 7:21am
I'm assuming that this is related to the new updated integrating anthrosonae, but my game is throwing new errors at me now and so I'm just checking in to see if that mod is now required now or if everything is okay etc lol

Included the log file here hope it helps

Will there be plans to add faction and items to this and others.

Hello, Erin. I got a question, is there any chance to integrate Anthrosonae's fur colouring system to this and other mods (Fenirfur, Auroria etc)? Currently, tails default to white colour if the fur colour isn't uniform
Rogue Rook 26 Nov, 2024 @ 11:42pm
if you do suggestions, what about a Crow-like xenotype?

crows are awesome, i guess

ty for the mod

@Kirboh
I was having the same problem, and it was being caused by Too Many Mods - Compats and Rebalance .

I fixed it by going to: Mod Options --> Vanilla Expanded Framework --> Toggleable patches --> and setting enable wing integration to false (requires a restart to kick in).
Erin  [author] 28 Jun, 2024 @ 6:12am
@Kirboh
- That's.. an old issue I fixed before I even released the mod O.o Will take a look later.
Kirboh 28 Jun, 2024 @ 5:31am
Great mod, and I'm not saying that because I want to create a paradise of nothing but beautiful female xenotypes. :happystar2022:
I'm having a persistent issue where female Azaphrae would spawn without wings. The Female Wing endogene says doesn't apply because it's being overridden by the Male one, but the Male Wing endogene says it doesn't apply because the pawn is a female. I can fix the problem by going into dev mode and deleting the Male Wing endogene, but it's rather inconvenient.

@goldenleaf6
- Technically yes, as the male and female genes are separated, I can have different stats on them.
goldenleaf6 21 Apr, 2024 @ 7:34am
I didn't know you could have gendered differences in biotech
Erin  [author] 4 Apr, 2024 @ 1:34pm
@Pearasect
- The forcing of bodytypes is to match their lore, yes, and it's very annoying to get it right XD I get wanting even thiccer ladies but you'd have to change every single mention of a forced bodytype to change it.

And thank you!! I enjoy working on xenotypes. <3
Pearasect 4 Apr, 2024 @ 1:15pm
I figured the issue out; in GeneDefs_Tails.xml there are custom offsets for every body type except those two. Adding some in for them fixes it! Jsyk.

I also noticed that the tails, horns, and wings force the female and thin bodies on any pawns that have them; I don't expect this to be changed since it seems to have been done to fit the lore of your species, but I figured I'd mention it anyways just in case there are any other weirdos like me reading this who want even musclier musclegirls. It's super easy to change guys you just have to delete that line!

Also also I just wanted to thank you, Erin, for your mods. They're all really cool! I love your xenotype concepts!
Pearasect 1 Apr, 2024 @ 7:25pm
@Erin
Oh yeah I forgot about 1.5 LOL please take your time
Erin  [author] 1 Apr, 2024 @ 4:38pm
@Pearasect
- I'll.. Have a look at it when I can. I'm currently in the process of updating everything to 1.5, so I'll try to remember to take a look when I get to the Azaphrae.
Pearasect 1 Apr, 2024 @ 1:25pm
I noticed a minor issue; both the male and female tails are positioned and rotated oddly when used with fat and hulk bodies.
Enclave 15 Jan, 2024 @ 5:47pm
Well then... quite a description
Erin  [author] 21 Dec, 2023 @ 12:28am
@Peeping Peacock
- the males are smaller, hence why they can move faster and dodge better. The females being able to jump is enough of a combat boost imo.
PeepingPeacock 20 Dec, 2023 @ 5:07pm
I love their looks buts its kinda strange how the males have better innate combat stats with movespeed and dodge chance while the females have the wing jump packs as their only combat related buff. I would have thought based on the description females would be significantly better at combat than males.
Ryn 19 Dec, 2023 @ 9:17am
Ah, I see, thank you kindly :3
Erin  [author] 19 Dec, 2023 @ 8:31am
@Ryn
- the difference is the frameworks. This one uses the official Biotech system, the other ones use HAR. They're very similar in actual function.
Ryn 19 Dec, 2023 @ 6:22am
Is it okay if I ask what is the difference between the Biotech and non Biotech version?
I want to say that instead of the pawn being labeled as "race name" they will be labeled as "Human (race name)" and have aspects of the race mod.
Is that how it works?
Erin  [author] 30 Nov, 2023 @ 11:38pm
@SplashOfBlue
- You can use both
SplashOfBlue 30 Nov, 2023 @ 10:32pm
Sorry if this was already asked, didn't see it if it was, but would I be able to use this alongside its race counterpart or should I choose one or the other?
Classygreen 20 Oct, 2023 @ 8:17pm
Got dawg, the males got cucked by genetics. Fr Fr
Newguy12354 15 Oct, 2023 @ 3:28pm
@erin
Yes, I missed the <geneClass>VanillaGenesExpanded.GeneGendered</geneClass> part of your addition to make it work, now it does.
Erin  [author] 15 Oct, 2023 @ 3:12pm
@Newguy12354
- Some stuff is from VE Framework.
Newguy12354 15 Oct, 2023 @ 2:39pm
Of course, immediately after I get frustrated and send you my question below, I get a breakthrough and make it work. I believe I got it now, so I think my question below can be ignored.
Newguy12354 15 Oct, 2023 @ 1:49pm
Hey Erin, I have very little knowledge on RimWorld modding and I am trying to make a single xenotype, just like you did for the Azaphrae, that have genes that exists only for males and genes that exists only for females. For example, one gender being bigger than the other or one gender having a specific skin color and the other another.

Dug into your mod a bit and noticed the <forGenderOnly> tag, but when I try to make genes from other mods, or even Vanilla, use that tag, it doesn't seem to work and applies all genes to the pawn, no matter their gender.

Why is that? Is it that I need to make a reference elsewhere I am missing or is it because I need to make custom logic, maybe in a .dll file, which is WAY beyond my abilities right now?
Bungee Gum 9 Oct, 2023 @ 3:23am
No worries! I know it’s not something you can control. Actually it even adds to roleplay!
Things I get for carelessness… rolled two perfectly compatible azaphraes of same age for tribe scenario and only after start did I notice that the girl is lesbian:needy_bear:
Guess I’ll try fishing for dominant gene pack
Thanks for your amazing mods! :saw_bread1:
Erin  [author] 9 Oct, 2023 @ 3:01am
@Bungee Gum
- Yeah cos most of their genes are gender specific, and with the way they're inherited, which is randomly, I can't control if a sleeping gene pops up or not. =/ Sorry.
Bungee Gum 9 Oct, 2023 @ 3:01am
Oh, I like xenotypes that aren’t placeholders for some crazy game-changin genes, but just simple and beautiful!

The only issue I’ve had is that hybrid female child inherited male asaphrae gene without female one resulting in a dormant gene:ralphhurt:
Erin  [author] 27 Sep, 2023 @ 12:06am
@Jetstream
- not too rare, they spawn in colder biomes if I remember correctly, but it's all random chance at the end of the day.
Jetstream 26 Sep, 2023 @ 10:03pm
Love this mod but i have a question. How rare are Nuzox? My colony is almost 2 years old and i never seen one.
loopi 23 Sep, 2023 @ 11:48am
muscular women, based
KingsMan_ 18 Sep, 2023 @ 7:15pm
Thanks you for making like this mods, Erin.
Paprikahörnchen 18 Sep, 2023 @ 12:33am
That artwork is so lovely <3
Erin  [author] 17 Sep, 2023 @ 3:20pm
@Apocryphus
- Nah they're not paired in any real special way, as I had to fiddle with the genes a LOT for them to work how I wanted them to. X.x I was close to giving up when it finally worked haha.
Apocryphus 17 Sep, 2023 @ 3:01pm
@Erin no worries, I was just curious! I was really surprised to see dimorphic traits, I thought it wasn't possible to begin with! I was poking around and saw the "forGenderOnly" stuff from the VE Framework and wasn't sure if the traits were paired further than that. Thanks for the info!
Erin  [author] 17 Sep, 2023 @ 2:54pm
@Apocryphus
- ...I don't know, in all honesty. The way I had to do the genes was to get them gendered. I don't know if kids will inherit them properly, because it's random. I don't know if there's anything I can do about it, either. =/
Apocryphus 17 Sep, 2023 @ 2:48pm
Hi @Erin, I've got a question for you about how these genes are inherited, if you don't mind. It looks like there's pairings of female and male versions of each gene, and children between Azaphrae and other xenotypes may only inherit one or none of each pair - is that correct? I was just curious if my testing was right, or not, and if you knew a way to make it so that they're paired for inheritance. To me it seems like it'd make sense for the pair to be inherited together, but I'm not shure if that's possible :thinking:.
Erin  [author] 17 Sep, 2023 @ 12:02pm
@Radixerus
- that would go directly against their lore. :3
Radixerus 17 Sep, 2023 @ 10:44am
Un-acceptable. In the example image, the man uses the skinny body type. I DEMAND to have Normal body type male representation!
Erin  [author] 16 Sep, 2023 @ 2:58am
@Everfearful
- Happy birthday? XD
Everfearful 16 Sep, 2023 @ 2:51am
And here I thought I wasn't getting anything for my birthday...
Icarael 15 Sep, 2023 @ 8:04pm
So the men of this xenotype are all twinks while the women are all big tiddy amazons?
