am i the only one that thinks this would look better with mix matched colors like blue,red, green, yellow, and, white akin to actual Lego pieces i like how it looks but a less serious looking skin i think would fit better with this idea imo ofc

It would look better if it wasn't for the random shiny bricks. If you want to add a different bricks to make it less boring, just add slightly off-colored black bricks.
