CovidMaster 5 Jan @ 8:03pm
Could you please update this for v3.14.15? It's currently broken, unfortunately.
Sarth 6 Jul, 2024 @ 8:13pm
Is there by chance that this might be updated for the current version? I think a few things are broken, such as I can make non-aggression pacts with people despite having the civic, and pairing it with criminal heritage doesn't change me to the special syndicate type.
Triel 2 Jun, 2024 @ 1:50pm
Would be nice if there was this for the new merc robots civic
heisenballs 27 Feb, 2024 @ 10:40am
Maybe the real outer heaven were the friends we made along the way
Lance 8 Feb, 2024 @ 8:12am
Well, it worked for a bit. I'm at year 2600 ish now and it just doesn't work anymore. Empires ask for my services, I say yes and then nothing happens. RIP. Maybe the recent update?

Weird. For sme reason I can still form defensive/non agression pacts with such empire
SYHs 6 Jan, 2024 @ 12:43pm
For what i think if you cannot form non-aggrestion pact or defense pack with other empires then it shouldn’t allow you to form federation because it will just making this like normal game
Gallto 5 Jan, 2024 @ 1:48pm
Hey. Does this mod work with Expanded Espionage & Diplomacy? I’ve also read some questions about the mod in MP, but does it usually function without any problems? Love the mod!
Pieman 30 Dec, 2023 @ 8:31pm
Am I supposed to declare war on the target empire after accepting a contract? When I get a contract offer and hit accept, nothing happens. The two other empires go to war, but I not added to it. Not sure if bug or if I just have to manually declare war

@Hawk You need to make it in the empire creator. The mod edits the "Private Military Companies" civic. You can edit your government to add the civic mid-game, however, as long as you are militarist.
Hawk 28 Nov, 2023 @ 4:45am
Just installed the and I'm going to play a game as a PMC later and wanted to know how do you become a PMC is it something that comes up a little later or do you need to make it in the empire creator?
Capelett  [author] 21 Nov, 2023 @ 12:33pm
@kroganwar22 My bad, I've updated the drive so it'll have the 3.10 files in there. I don't think I needed to change anything for the update, but just to be safe.
kroganwar22 21 Nov, 2023 @ 9:55am
Hey @Capelett I would like to update your mod to the latest version for my total conversion but your mod file link still says the files were modified in September. Do you have a link for the latest files?

Will this work with Venture Politics?
Red 25 Oct, 2023 @ 2:39am
I really like this so far, but would it be too OP to remove the commercial pact requirement for criminal heritage megacorps? Since they can't form commercial pacts, I end up never getting to even use this mod as criminal heritage until very late game with jump drives most of the time.
Mad Monarch 22 Oct, 2023 @ 9:05am
I can highly recommend this for using the halo Banished mod, makes you feel like an actual criminal organization
The Lady Waffle 19 Oct, 2023 @ 2:11pm
Hey, minor glitch I've found: If a war results in the destruction of the opposing side, say from annexation, if the other side is a Fanatic Purifier, or if it's an uprising, when you win the war you don't get your commission from fighting. Minor, but frustrating.

Space Orc Mercs here I come!
Capelett  [author] 14 Oct, 2023 @ 8:44am
@EDGELORD Thanks for the feedback. I foresaw the issue with the galactic community, but initially decided to leave it since it required overwriting quite a few vanilla strings, and I try to avoid that as much as possible. I was waiting to see if anyone had an issue with it, so that's definitely something I can go back and do with some more confidence now.
As far as I know, mercenary enclaves shouldn't effect how often you're hired, since the AI considers hiring you the moment war starts, and disregards the cost. But, at the same time, you should be noticing more opportunities as the game goes on. So if that isn't the case, it's something I need to look at.

@darksideresident13 The mod overwrites the 'action_form_non_aggression_pact' and 'action_form_defensive_pact' strings in diplomatic_actions, which just checks if you're able to click the buttons or not. If you're a non-criminal PMC, you're not allowed to click them, which is how non-diplomatic civics work.
Rave Cat 13 Oct, 2023 @ 6:48pm
You are so real for this
Kmicic 12 Oct, 2023 @ 11:27am
Bro, this mod is incredible and very good, but have one minus . Military contracts are too rare. If they were more common, this mod would be one of the most interesting for Stellaris.
Loveless1987 9 Oct, 2023 @ 5:37am
So, exactly how does this mod alter the non-aggression and defensive pacts? Does it affect mom-PMC empires, or just the ones using the private military civic?
EDGELORD 8 Oct, 2023 @ 4:49pm
This is an incredible mod, works exactly as described on the box. One suggestion - how mercenary enclaves work with the civic might need a change. Early to mid game I was getting hired constantly, but then I built 6 mercenary enclaves with all my loot and started pushing through the merc resolutions in the galactic community and they dry up because everyone just rents your merc enclave fleets for cheaper. Plus you get into a weird scenario where when you pass neutral defenders resolution, your empire, a mercenary company, has to hire another mercenary company when someone pays them to fight a war for them. It endss up being counter intuitive. Still my favourite new mod though!

@Anton Rabe Sure, no problem!
Anton Rabe 6 Oct, 2023 @ 11:02am
can I translate your mod into Russian, please?
Capelett  [author] 5 Oct, 2023 @ 3:42am
@FulcrumGhost are there any sort of tooltips that explain why you can't establish one? This mod doesn't interact with any branch office logic, so I don't think it would be this. From experience, I recall having that issue with Bug Branch, specifically with the two additional forms of corporation it adds, but that was quite a while back, and I've played both types issue-free for a while.
FulcrumGhost 4 Oct, 2023 @ 2:01pm
anyone having trouble being able to establish branch offices? i dont know whats causing the conflict and wandered if anyone else had the same problem?
Defence of the patience 2 2 Oct, 2023 @ 6:55am
@Capelett awesome thank you!
Capelett  [author] 2 Oct, 2023 @ 3:30am
@Bot Brain Yeah, you get an event to invite them if they're at peace and you have a commercial pact, when the war starts.
Defence of the patience 2 1 Oct, 2023 @ 5:40pm
Might be a silly question, but does the AI actually do this if they have the civic?

Capelett  [author] 23 Sep, 2023 @ 11:18am
@Del Brass Thank you, I was thinking it had nothing to do with GVP, but I guess you were right. I'll see if I can't take a look later on. Perhaps we both use the same strings in some area, or there's some other weird conflict. I haven't used that mod in years.
The commission is likely an error on my part, since I figured anything to do with 'transferring' systems occurred after my events would be fired, but that might not be the case with claims.

@7DozenEggsTTV Apologies, the mod requires MegaCorp. I completely forgot to add that to the mod page. I can probably get it working on Vanilla with a few changes, though.
Surge Brass 23 Sep, 2023 @ 7:29am
Ok, I tested out the mod without GVP on. I screenshot how it went and I've compiled it into an Imgur album. https://imgur.com/a/Vh5aPLo Here you go.

tl;dr the mercenary wars and events seem to work fine without the GVP mod on. However, some events, such as the post-war commission questions seem to be a little inconsistent, while commissions don't seem to be paid to you if your employer is using the conquest war goal and you invade a planet they claimed, as it results in them occupying it instead.
Sir 7DozenEggs 22 Sep, 2023 @ 2:16pm
does this mod require anything? i dont have any DLCs and the civic isnt showing up in the empire creation screen
