There is nothing brilliant on this . It's just random stock knives on mercs back . For me no thanks . But why making it paintable . If players said it shouldn't be paintable and they dont like it . Then do it instead of reapeatly asking why not making it paintable. It's just a stupid idea . If you want players to love ur item . Then listen to their opinion instead of defending ur opinion

Well you got a point on Australiums, Botkillers and Black Rose, but giving it a style for the other classic knifes like the Kunai or the Big Earner, doesn't seem like a bad idea.
Sure, I guess you can't have jigglebones for them, as they don't have any moving part, but it's worth a try to see how it looks eh?

valve wouldn't accept an australium community item, the black rose is from a different IP and therefor can't have it's design used, and botkillers would just be really noisy and push the triangle limit too far (not to mention there arent enough jigglebones in budget to have them move)

It'd be better if it wasn't paintable - it just looks odd(and that's me being generous).

That said, why not go for different styles instead? Things like Australium, Botkiller, or the Black Rose?(it's a shame most of Spy's other knives aren't butterfly knives; having three kunais sticking out just wouldn't feel the same) Hell, a unique version of the decal tool that clones a player's decorated/Warpainted knives would be sick as fck.

This looks fine for all year cosmetic. It's not super out of place and doesn't affect outlines too much. I can see why people don't like this paint region; whole painted knifes look really weird. Either don't add any or change it to paint only some details of the knifes, like on handles.

I personally don't like the fact that is paintable because it doesn't make sense to have the classic Spy butterfly knife to have a Lime Green color.
I don't think it's because "confuses players", it's just... unpleasent to look at.

especially given there are items in game that look like sentries, dispensers, a gunslinger for your feet, and floating ghost knives that are all paintable and nobody has cared or noticed once

ive gotten 100000 comments asking "why" with no reasons for why it shouldn't other than "it can confuse new players that might think knives are paintable" which is honestly just really funny

It's a fun idea, but shouldn't be paintable because it doesn't really make sense, and I feel like it should be halloween restricted. But the latter I'm not sure if you have any control over it.
