Just one glitch that would be nice too see fixed; the sound file is apparently missing or obstructed according to the debug logs, doesn't crash the game or anything but very annoying, aside from that I love this knife!

What does this knife does to a person when hitted exactly?
kubasos;)  [author] 5 Feb, 2024 @ 6:10pm
its not unless you start hitting the same npc many times

In one of the new updates, this knife is now counted as an attack. Just letting fellow subscribers to this mod know!

I also noticed that the slash.ogg was routed as %ModDir% so I fixed that too

I made a modified version of this for my mod, it now inflicts husk nausea and can only be obtained from the church of the husk people, well that and the researchers and the military, however it's better to get them from the church as it only requires 25 rep while the others require 50

@Yimeyam Thank you :2019love:
kubasos;)  [author] 17 Oct, 2023 @ 10:03am
@kobicha That's exactly what it was designed for - unnoticed infection outbreaks on outposts or infecting in general other then that it doesn't have any damage inflicting capabilities
Yimeyam 17 Oct, 2023 @ 12:33am
nice looking design:steamhappy:

I'm not sure if this is intended, but the Husk Needle Knife seems to only be used for inflicting heavy nausea and dosing people with Husk indefinitely.

It is NOT a viable self-defense weapon, as I expected.

This is a bad thing for self-defense, yes, but strangely, it's also a good thing because it doesn't register as an attack at outposts, so you can get a full-on Husk outbreak started with it.

Oh wow that's cool

Asked the developer to make a patch and he quickly put one out, seems to work.

I see

I think that, for what you're describing to work, the creator of the acolyte job would have to add that feature to thier mod, but in that case they would have to always be used together or made into a single mod not to cause any errors. There might be some other way that I'm unaware of, though.
Ronnie1001 10 Oct, 2023 @ 12:10am
Do you think it would be possible to make this mod affected by things in the acolyte job mod?
that mod adds a perk that increases damage by 120% with both the husk stinger and spineling spikes and that would work well with this (There may be other perks that do things similar but I am unsure)
kubasos;)  [author] 4 Oct, 2023 @ 4:42am
you can also buy it from certain merchants
kubasos;)  [author] 4 Oct, 2023 @ 4:41am
You can craft it using iron, husk eggs and husk stinger or find it in places like wrecks or beacon stations.
Ronnie1001 1 Oct, 2023 @ 9:30pm
How do you get this in the normal game without cheating
kubasos;)  [author] 1 Oct, 2023 @ 12:08pm
yes
Acid Green 1 Oct, 2023 @ 10:19am
does it work with improved husks?
