This mod doesn't remove the Happiness button, so I'm not sure as to why it's disappearing for you.

the option to enable happiness makes discounts work in remix/zenith, but doesn't put the happiness check button back. very annoying for npcs without a reliable wiki

final price = base price * multiplier for any multiplier
Therefore, if the multiplier is lower, the final price will be lower.

Okay, so on the wiki it says if they're happy their prices will be lower. So, do I have to increase that slider with multiplier or decrease it?

Ah, that multiplier. Basically, in the base game, an NPC considered "happy" will have reduced prices and an NPC considered "unhappy" will have increased prices. The reduction and increase are handled via multipliers to the base price, which is what the config entries allow you to control. I suggest checking the terraria.wiki.gg page [terraria.wiki.gg] covering NPC happiness.

Oh sorry, I was talking about price multiplier. You know, like/love multiplier, for example. The higher it is the better for player or is it the other way around?

Items that require happiness to show up will always show up, given they use the "condition" available in the tML codebase
