Yeah the bonus content is optional, so it is never required to solve the main puzzle. Look at the solution video for the actual solution. it involves using a fizzler to make a null Portal Thanks for checking these maps out...even if they are broken!
I basically used what I had to do with the bonus, I placed the turret next to the cube while on the 2nd raised floor panel, then when I re spawned the cube, the turret acted like a delayer, allowing me to pass the fizzle. Then I just did the ending portal to leave.
If that was intended then my goodness! But I strongly feel like it wasn't lol
On this one I had solution blindness. Can not believe I could not see that on my own.
Even after watching the solution, it took 3 tries before I was able to see those simple ending moves on my own.
I've got to stop trying to solve puzzles before my afternoon coffee.
This one does have a sneaky move hidden in it. Glad you didn't find it unfair. And well done figuring out the bonus puzzle!
Glad you are continuing to like these, they are quite a mixed-bag. And it makes me happy to hear that you also like the bonus activities!
I don't know if I could EVER find the intended solution...
I may have found an unintended solution then...
Used the turret as a "delay"...just enough time to grab the cube and run past the fizzer with both portals in exit position...
The title of the puzzle was the misleading part...
"Beam Redirect"...? I used the title as a clue to help...
I was looking for angles...then I felt this was impossible...
There were not that many angles to choose from.
The "simpler solution" was blocked...
Jumping past both fizzers and firing a portal to relocate the cube then re-establish
It felt like FOREVER before I noticed the "hole" in the ceiling...
Explored...found the turret...potato gun and realized the importance of the turret...
After all that I didn't like it that much...it was ok, but...
I thought the entire puzzle was in the initial room.
Now that I know you like to "hide" rooms...
I will be more mindful of the possibility of elusive rooms :)
I felt like the title should be "Beam Delay" or "Beam Blocker"
These^ titles may have helped more...
I know, others have told me. While not intentional, it is a creative solution for those that do not see the easier way

Thanks for letting me know. Did it break the main puzzle or just the bonus secret? Also, how easy is it to replicate the turret not blowing up?
