@mentallentil, yeah that's why I kept it short and simple. You can predict which side you'll end up on if you pay close attention. Portal splitting is disorienting

Very unique concept, though, like others, I did end up rather disoriented. The cube climbs were also an idea I haven't really seen before.

@Solinoxia, glad you liked it! It's a bit disorienting at first but not too bad
Solinoxia 5 May @ 6:57am
brilliant and fun! hadn't seen anything like this before and it took my brain some time to get adjusted to it but it was not too complicated.

I might be accustomed to disorienting maps by now. I've spent hours making 'shitpost' maps that alter the original portal mechanics.
E L Y T R O N  [author] 6 Jan @ 8:37pm
@SHOOD, yeah it is more disorienting than complicated for me
SHOOD 6 Jan @ 8:28pm
I found this one rather intuitive. Blind runhttps://youtu.be/4xJRq83GWdk

@Rooke, Yay, well done!

Had to think about which split went where, but I solved it. The easiest of the series so far! :steamthumbsup: Got the potato too. :p2chell:

@v0rtex2002, cheers!

This was fun. Splitting the portals made for an interesting puzzle. Nice job!

@kimist108, yeah 'portal splitting' still kinda messes with my head, but yes the potato is quite different
kimist108 5 Oct, 2024 @ 10:03am
Thumbs up again! It was "What in the world?" when entering the room. Getting to the exit door was easy. Getting the potato gun required a little extra thought.

I tried throwing...
It is possible :)
I know you hate that so...

I solved it without throwing :)
:steamthumbsup:

@Hovering Heavy, thanks for checking out my TUBER series!

@Hovering Heavy,
I wanted you to struggle with the side of the portal. If you are clever, you can solve it efficiently without making those mistakes. I didn't make the test very hard so it wouldn't get too annoying. If you want to break my maps by cube throwing, go for it. Just know it is not intended
Hovering Harry 12 Apr, 2024 @ 4:48pm
It was certainly annoying always choosing the wrong side of the light bridge. It would be nice if there were some grated portal surfaces just to make it easier to get rid of the bridge. I managed to slide up all the way up the stairs in the easter egg. It is possible to throw the cube all the way over, which doesn't help much but you can skip getting around a light bridge that way.

@| \_/ (), thank you, it's definitely a weird one.

@sandwichfren, thanks for the video

I loved figuring out the trick to get the easter egg. Here's my playthrough if anyone's interested...

@jandlml, glad you liked the portal splitting gimmick!
jandlml 27 Dec, 2023 @ 8:58pm
that was fun! very tricky!
E L Y T R O N  [author] 24 Dec, 2023 @ 10:44pm
@Nobody No-One, I had an even easier version at first, but this one feels more complete, although it does beat the main gimmick like a dead horse, I'm glad you think I hit the sweet-spot.
Nobody No-One 24 Dec, 2023 @ 12:40pm
Fun map; I think it would get annoying were it any harder, but this was the perfect difficulty. I liked the realization that you can't get the cube through the portals with the bridge . Thumbs up.

@Andy T,
I liked this one, glad you did too

That's new, easy-casual simple run once you figure out the loophole.
E L Y T R O N  [author] 30 Sep, 2023 @ 1:55pm
@Jade BGE,
It can be quite disorienting at first!
Jade BGE 30 Sep, 2023 @ 1:52pm
A puzzle based on that concept was new for me. It worked well. Thank you :steamthumbsup:

@bullfrog,
yes, apart from what I already commented on the YouTube video
bullfrog 28 Sep, 2023 @ 3:07am
@E L Y T R O N,
no need to worry, I'm not grumpy anymore and I like the puzzle :steamthumbsup: intended solution including easter egg ?
E L Y T R O N  [author] 27 Sep, 2023 @ 7:50pm
@bullfrog,
uh oh, grumpy bullfrog is no bueno. Sorry if it frustrated you!
bullfrog 26 Sep, 2023 @ 11:00pm
I played this late yesterday, got grumpy with it (and myself) and stopped. I awoke this morning and how to navigate the "Light Barrier" seemed obvious. Getting the easter egg took me a few attempts, but that's my problem, not yours. Anyway, once again (I'm starting to sound like a right creep!) I agree with @Dolphiner's comments :steamthumbsup: I'll make a walkthrough in a bit to check, but I'm pretty sure I solved as intended.
E L Y T R O N  [author] 26 Sep, 2023 @ 8:19pm
@Dolphiner, Thanks! It is a bit disorienting, but portal splitting was interesting enough I thought I would allow another linear/easy design through. Glad you tolerated it!
Dolphiner 26 Sep, 2023 @ 12:56pm
My general distaste for shufflers aside, I think this is a very respectable puzzle Once you get used to how which side you end up on when passing through the lightbridges. This can easily be solved intuitively, but I think the path produced is long enough that the concept remains interesting, but short enough so that it doesn't drag on. Good stuff! :steamthumbsup:
