@Manyack =) try playing around with it on your own, exploring what the different options do. Also, if you're in the Rain World Discord server, you can ask @topapopato, who seems to be the resident lizard finding expert

Question, is there documentation for what each of the options do ? trying to find a cyan lizard (my beloved) and i have no idea what the options are as they don't align with the wiki, (like graphic on tailtuft, and two lines or patch i don't get it at all)

@chromo a higher bias basically just multiplies the calculated distance for that factor. Like if some feature contributed a distance of 0.5 and the bias was set to 3, it would actually contribute 0.5 * 3 = 1.5
chromo 26 Jun @ 11:57am
oh i just noticed the "results" input lol that's probably why. but still, "bias" doesn't seem to change the distances in the way that i expect if it acts as a tolerance value.
chromo 26 Jun @ 11:55am
would be nice if you could specify the maximum distance/error from the value specified by the slider. like if I want to find the ids of all centipedes with a length 0.8±0.2. the "bias" value seems to kind of change the distances/errors reported but it doesn't seem to change the number of ids found for the search query. I also have no idea what bias does.

2.2 out yippee also has a new thumbnail
Alduris  [author] 24 May @ 6:30pm
oh oops that's an oversight. ignore that lmao
evilmoondragon 22 May @ 10:44pm
Something I find funny is that the "Lizard Colors" search allows you to pick "NONE" which crashes the menu giving a KeyNotFoundException.
Alduris  [author] 22 May @ 5:03am
@OneLetterShor that isn't its own variable thing. It uses the slugpup's size variable.
OneLetterShor 21 May @ 2:44pm
I do think this is missing a option for slugpup tail length (is long/short)
OneLetterShor 10 May @ 9:33pm
seems like the default thread amount is the best actually
OneLetterShor 10 May @ 9:08pm
i do have to say that its way faster than it used to be, thanks
OneLetterShor 10 May @ 9:05pm
Would the best way to get results quickly be setting the threads to the amount my cpu has minus 2 or 3?
interesting. glad to have brought it to your attention lol
Alduris  [author] 5 May @ 7:34pm
Huh. Seems I completely miscalculated the slider bottom for wing scales entirely. The actual low end is 5, not 31.25. What the fuck did I do when calculating it originally
attempting to ID a cyan lizard right now, and it seems like the slider for wing scale length doesn't go as low as some cyans do. the slider bottoms out at 31.25, but i recently found a lizard with scales as short as 21.82 (and they might even go lower), which i cant search for due to the limits on the slider

YAY OKAY:steamhappy:
Alduris  [author] 18 Apr @ 3:44am
@efuller781 not at the moment, I haven't added it. can look into it, though.
poopcock 17 Apr @ 3:16pm
Hey just curious, is their anyway I can possibly search for miros vulture traits?
lancelackey 13 Apr @ 12:21pm
nvm i fixed it thanks!
lancelackey 13 Apr @ 12:04pm
no it just gives me the same thing but without the ids
Alduris  [author] 12 Apr @ 1:42am
@lancelackey are you sure it isn't giving you an id? I think you're misinterpreting the output.

To run you through an example, let's say you wanted to spawn a very purple slugpup that is small and fat between ids 0 and 100000 since that's the default range. Then, you would add the search prompt "Slugpup Variations", turn the "Size" slider down, turn the "Wideness" slider up, and finally set the color value to something like (0.71, 1, 0.65). I also would disable "Eye (L)" using the checkbox. Running this search prompt gave me this output:

[code]
Request 1:
60679 (distance: 0.3479386)
84859 (distance: 0.3755628)
30100 (distance: 0.3788177)
24256 (distance: 0.3893574)
30169 (distance: 0.399045)
56819 (distance: 0.3998799)
[/code]

The id at the top, 60679, is the closest result to what I want. I recommend Dev Console for spawning them. Using Dev Console, I would run the command: spawn SlugNPC ID.-1.60679 and this would spawn it.
lancelackey 11 Apr @ 2:26pm
also how do you spawn stuff with it i have the dev tools mod tho
lancelackey 11 Apr @ 2:26pm
it dosent give me an id it just gives me a randim string of command
Alduris  [author] 2 Apr @ 10:56am
I think this works on the latest version, 1.10, without updating the code

Hello friend !
Is there any possibility of searching for specific Overseers? They can have slight variation in tendril count and such.
Alduris  [author] 28 Feb @ 1:02pm
it uses HSL, which is another way to do colors. I have to do it this way because of the limited range of colors slugpups can have and also to be the most accurate. here's an HSL color picker: https://hslpicker.com/ just remember to divide the hue by 360 when you input it to the menu
rivulet go ploink 28 Feb @ 8:28am
I can't understand it, could it be like the Custom Colors in story mode?
Alduris  [author] 27 Feb @ 8:59pm
One of the slugpup options has a color picker
rivulet go ploink 27 Feb @ 10:34am
also how do you make a red pup using it
Alduris  [author] 26 Feb @ 5:33pm
Personalities?
pgsmith532 26 Feb @ 3:49pm
How do I get the verson with bevaourlall stuff
rivulet go ploink 23 Jan @ 9:03am
Thanks!
Alduris  [author] 23 Jan @ 12:58am
@Chaos101! The Dev Console mod is the easiest option. You run the command spawn SlugNPC ID.-1.YourIDHere
rivulet go ploink 22 Jan @ 12:11pm
how do you spawn a pup
wfloatingw 9 Dec, 2024 @ 4:12pm
@Alduris ah ic! gl when you do start doing it
Alduris  [author] 9 Dec, 2024 @ 10:45am
@wfloatingw it's on my todo list already. I have the setup for it I just don't know how to do the UI for it. It's pending a mod rewrite I am dreading doing
wfloatingw 9 Dec, 2024 @ 6:57am
how do i search a lizard for how many frills it has? i can only search for different frill patterns
Alduris  [author] 8 Dec, 2024 @ 11:28am
No and idk. You'd have to see its source code to determine how it figures out color
Azruthal 8 Dec, 2024 @ 6:54am
is this compatible with Rainbow Pups? if not is there any way i would be able to accurately get rainbow pups hex color codes without palettes interfering?
Alduris  [author] 29 Nov, 2024 @ 12:17pm
@Serial Designation V yes it can; if you're looking for stuff like aggression, dominance, energy, etc. use the "Personality" option (I've seen a lot of people not realize that) but it also has other stuff like colors and general statistics such as breath time and walk speed
CheeseCake 29 Nov, 2024 @ 8:38am
does/can this work for slugpups too?:auimp:
GoblinThree 14 Oct, 2024 @ 2:18pm
(I do really like your mod BTW)
GoblinThree 14 Oct, 2024 @ 2:17pm
Good to know :D
Alduris  [author] 14 Oct, 2024 @ 2:06pm
Yeah in general keep the thread count below the number of cores on your PC
GoblinThree 14 Oct, 2024 @ 2:00pm
Heard my PC's fans spin up when i did 15 threads, all possible IDs, and the strongest scav stats, took an hour... 10/10 would microwave my PC again.
Stix! 26 Sep, 2024 @ 11:39am
i can finally spawn that one scavenger able to solo 15 vultures, thank you.
would there possibly be any plans of adding raindeer antlers in the future? i think it'd be neat to find the raindeer with the smallest antlers or the one with the biggest antlers and that sort of stuff
Alduris  [author] 18 Jul, 2024 @ 6:25pm
Determines how well-roasted your CPU is (how many ids it does at the same time, but there is a point where the benefit stops because the random numbers can only be drawn by one thread at a time)
RWposting 18 Jul, 2024 @ 2:28am
what does the thread count do?
