i know this from tooltips but when experimenting a bunker nothing resisted enought using the most large lego bricks in double layer
everything unsnap in the blast area

steel is better in thicker layers, plastic is weaker in certain ways
foam is the weakest material

i just checked the tooltips data and thrust it but i not really tested that and seriously excepted the mass i dont feel any resistance diference between plastic and steel
tought the foam i used for buffer under my most fragile creation unsnaped really easilly in comparaison
its now updated landing is safe and i added many facility

before you came along and the current version went into public beta, rubber was REALLY bouncy, but for unknown reasons, fluppi has removed it, don't ask why, you won't get answers out of him

i will increase the vertical speed stabilisation ratio for allowing free self landing
the pad at ground contact are made of rubber that i guessed have a bounce proprety not verified

however, if you control the landing speed and rotation, it reduces the chances of damages

i'ma just tell you this, dropship 16 has a somewhat less likely chance of breaking, try strengthening the impact absorbing landing gear with steel on the bottom, tungsten can work too(may require increase in thruster strength)
