Sorry I only noticed the chat line with link to this map yesterday or day before.

Very pleasing hard-casual, Quicksave often, especially the head of LB is too close to the fizzler.

I recorded this a while ago but I never got around to uploading it because I got sick. Hopefully my video is not out of date, nice map:steamthumbsup: https://youtu.be/akCbDCdPh0U

@Guillermo bullfog is one of the best in finding alternate and un-intended solutions.

also- test junkie- thanks for sending the video man! i’ll check it out in a couple

your right, i didn’t check the comments oops. but yeah i think my original solution was jumping off the button but it was not good. what i meant by light bridge shenanigans was grabbing the cube in the second room using the light bridge instead of the funnel. also- a lot of your uses in the first AND second video were not technically intended, but like i said it doesn’t really take away from any of the key puzzle parts- and it’s only a slight divergence from the original solution. you never even had to make a second video- let alone a first one. thanks for supporting my levels and giving me feedback from the start! it’s cool that you take time out of your day to make these videos for other peoples tests- keep it up!

I was wrong about "lower the floor by one block" as it doesn't work. This is something what I'd like the intended solution to be, which now includes a cube swap, but I don't think it's possible to force it? Anyway, it's a great puzzle and I really enjoyed it, so have another

I like Cube Bypass 1.1 for several reasons (and it looks like Test Chamber Junkie agrees with me) including the moves required in the second room to get the cube onto the funnel button, the moves required to get oneself up to the next room and the moves required to get to the pedestal button that turns off the fizzler.

You say my “light bridge shenanigans in the second room” are unintended. Please watch my video again and tell me the start and end time for these “shenanigans” as I don’t know exactly what you are talking about.

In the first room, I think it would be a good idea to lower the floor by one block, so that you can’t just jump and grab the cube off the light bridge, as opposed to having to use the light bridge to get up to it.

Re, “im not exactly sure why you like umbrella so much- what do you like about it? i mean, sure jumping on top of the pedestal button is sort of a puzzle but theres many softlocks and overall its just kind of annoying to have to jump on top of the button.”

If you look at my comment(s) on umbrella, I say “I like the puzzle, apart from the jump off pedestal button move.” I then sent you this video which shows me jumping up off the cube, not the button, to make those shots. You replied saying “bulldog yours is intended” i.e. jumping off the button was NOT your intended method, which is why I liked the puzzle more than I would have done.

Up until now, all the puzzles you have made since umbrella have not been as good, I’m not saying they are bad, just not as good, in my opinion.

:p2blue: Blind Playthrough :p2orange: Thanks for sending it my way. I think this was one of your best maps yet, keep it up!
Guillermolikesgames  [author] 5 Oct, 2023 @ 1:39pm
bullfrog- yeah i mean i always jumped straight onto the light bridge and it doesnt really matter how you get onto the light bridge because either way its easy to. for the most part that is intended- exept for the using the portalable surface to the left of where you come into the second room to get the cube with the funnel, and also the light bridge shenanigans in the second room- yeah thats all intended. there are a couple seperate things that you can do to solve it differently but thats just a side effect of using the yellow fizzlers-
Guillermolikesgames  [author] 5 Oct, 2023 @ 1:39pm
-but really if you think about it all the core elements and parts of the puzzle stay the same even if you do it slightly differently. also- im not exactly sure why you like umbrella so much- what do you like about it? i mean, sure jumping on top of the pedestal button is sort of a puzzle but theres many softlocks and overall its just kind of annoying to have to jump on top of the button. its one of my worst tests imo. also, thanks for the kind comment rook and bullfrog!
bullfrog 5 Oct, 2023 @ 6:42am
As promised; ignoring the straight jump onto the light bridge, is this your intended solution ?
bullfrog 5 Oct, 2023 @ 6:20am
The the bit that "didn't feel quite right, but it worked every time" I've just done by another method and that's much better, so have another  I'll record a full walkthrough video later, which includes the way I did 'that move' the first time and the easy (and hopefully) intended way.
bullfrog 5 Oct, 2023 @ 6:14am
Yep, I liked that  This is definitely the best puzzle I've played of yours since I played your map "Umbrella" nearly six months ago, imho. One bit didn't feel quite right, but it worked every time, so perhaps it's just me. Not sure if I'll have time to record a walkthrough video to check now, but I will later if not :)

That was complicated! Took a while and a lot of going back and forth. Very clever and good!
