@Tedster - Seen. Thank you for clarifying. Will do binary test until find whatever is causing the conflict. Super appreciate you validating for us though as this is one of our most invaluable tools for checking others work. Will report back when find issue for purposes of logging what not to do for future users.

I just tested base modlist with just these 2 mods and Highlander, and it's not removing them. I need logging/further evidence, or it's something in whatever you're doing messing with stuff

The ChristopherOdd S8 and S9 modlist contains this mod and the Standalone LW Alien Pack, and to my knowledge it works fine.

It is, without failure or exception, removing any and all units from this mod for no discernable reason, beginning to occour only in the last week since we've returned from abscence.

The update earlier this month fixed some logging, but it should not be removing anything that has a functioning template.

Question: Is there any known use case scenarios where this picks up units that are definitely present, but it decides they arent?

You don't need this if you're playing LWoTC, but it exists standalone for those not using LWoTC

@Tedster - Could you DM me an example of what we need to look for, so can trace it back. ELC isn't only thing affected, just trying to find the common reliance that's broken by another.

I've never heard of anything like this before, my only guess is if something kills the character template manager.

@Tedster - Was wondering if there's something that would interfere with it's operation or has caused issues before, such that we can narrow down that list, as problem was unheard of before a slate of updates for other things came in.

The mod checks for the existence of templates, so if something is nuking the base game templates, I'd start looking for that.

Would like to request technical assistance as ELC has started picking up units that are definitely installed, including base game units, and there isn't an update to ELC or it's functioning for us to examine. Thank you.

Yeah, patching stuff after it's been generated but before the game starts using it is what OPTC is for & generally shouldn't go in CHL directly. If it turns out to be possible to prevent that behaviour happening by altering base game script in a non invasive way, it may be valid for a CHL fix down the line.

@MrMister - I don't think OPTC qualifies as something that can be incorporated into Highlander, that was the decision last time bugged civilian screaming came up.

hmm, UECP mod attempts to have the same ultimate effect, but goes about it in a different way (i believe) which is better theoretically?

UECP seems to be working for me at the moment, but i'd jump ship if this mod is somehow better (faster loading, smaller assets etc..)

I always wondering why firaxis did not implement such a QOL mod. many thanks. I suffered often with crashs due to this problem. especially the one after the first council video sequence.. the unfamous cyrogatekeeper

Logging: yes, this does log everything it does.
LWoTC: no issues, and will be integrated as well in a future release:
UCEP: IIRC ELR does this for lists it touches already, so this will cover anything it doesn't touch.Right now it's set to run before ELR, I probably should set it to run afterwards.

Quick Question OTOMH: Does this include a logging feature to let users know what units have been removed by the tool so they can better diagnose what may be wrong with their individual setups?

Does this work with UECP ?
