For zeus I'm using a unit that's placed down and given zeus through the zeus module. Thanks in advance for any help you offer.
Your points are irrelevant no disrespect. It's a mod. If you find no use for it, do not subscribe.
No one is suggesting that. Your comments a fart in the wind.
What is the purpose of spectating a unit? To see everything from their angle at the moment!
By using my technique you don't just get locked into a first person view, you see everything the computer screen of that player sees.
So if your player is in third person or has NVGs/Thermals enabled, you would be able to see the exact same thing from his perspective.
Besides, you don't need to spectate people 24/7 to be a good game master. I do 10/10 missions without spectating.
In default zeus you can select a unit and press numpad enter to spectate them, but it's clearly not the "exact same effect," it's actually quite distinct. With numpad enter it's like entering spectator mode and you will be locked to fullscreen first-person viewing, meaning you can't do anything while watching. So, it's not very useful for anything besides sitting back and watching from a first-person perspective.
On the other hand my composition provides an overlayed window that enables you to view custom body cam feeds while operating as Zeus - so you can keep tabs on players and create missions simultaneously.
