You'll probably forget this even exists or have already removed the mod by the time your actual birthday comes anyways
I am more than sure mods are not allowed to send personal information anywhere (only diagnostic data). If the mod sends data on external web sources, it may also be reviewed by tModloader tech support. Just make it stay with the mod.
(Going by Terraria Blood Moon and Solstice event frequency, the orbit is certainly not anything similar to ours. :P )
The vanilla NPC gave me all sorts of stuff, from hair dye, over pink gel dye, to spikey balls. :))
Fun mod! :)
Also, no, the npcs don't wear hats, couldn't get that to work.
Are you just doing these mods to mess with people?
Are you sure this works?
I had a birthday party announced, stopped time because I was busy showing a friend a screenshot and didn't want to miss the birthday stuff, then closed the game to start vanilla Terraria for another screenshot (my friend is new to the game and I showed him Skeletron arenas).
I went back to tModLoader, started my game, remembered birthday, chatted with a few NPC, no gifts.
A while later (I was molecarting my way through Hell) it said again it's my birthday, immediately followed by, "Hope you had a great birthday". I went home, chatted with a few NPC, no gifts.
No one was wearing party hats either time either.
Does it forget birthday status upon game close?
Does it get confused by Journey Mode time stop? (I ended frozen time for now, maybe I get another birthday soon. :) )
