More Lifestyles - POD Compatibility Patch

It was actually right as Hans-Landa said. Ditch the Patch, and put More Lifestyles over PoD. Did it in a few configurations and that is what seemed to be what worked!
TLDR of my testing: the patch screws up the GUI window by overriding it whereas the base More Lifestyles Mod is integrated.

I'm still experiencing the same Issue I was way back when. Blood magic and Necromancy lifestyles don't appear. I'll do some more testing but i think it'll probably be the same results as in january.

I use more lifestyles and POD and i swear i haven't needed this mod in a while, just load More Lifestyles before POD, i think in one of the updates they added better compatibility so you don't have to make patches to add lifestyles.

Brought this mod back from the dead at the request of people here. Should be compatible with the latest update as well as 1.14

With this mod, the tree of original traveler skills disappears. And they are critically needed.

upd pla
all the same problems with gui

Even with the Patch More Lifestyles seems to override parts of the mod. For example the Blood Magic lifestyle won't exist (To clarify; the Base tree in sanguine is still there but the independent lifestyle where you get the spell-perks doesn't appear)
In fact; just to ensure that it was this and not another mod I disabled all mods in the playset but this mod, More Lifestyles, and PoD

Hopefully you are still reading these. It seems these two mods still need a gui compatch. When using more lifestyles with POD the lifestyles gui gets messed up. The scale for the vampire lifestyles is off and you cannot see all of them stretched across the screen. Also the names above the various skills are the _ names.

Applause. That last post was exactly the kind that should be pinned if you are searching for updates. Thanks for the update.

I am considering retiring the patches for More Lifestyles . As of version 1.13 and the new Road to Power DLC, focuses no longer have IDs, which makes these patches less important/usefull than before. An update for More Lifestyles will be released soon.

The only downside would be that the progress bar for the XP of lifestyles added by other mods won't be visible. Is that issue relevant or important enough to continue maintaining these patches? On the plus side, not having this patch means one less mod cluttering your playlist.

Anyone been able to figure out the crash after day one issue? It crashes before it spits out an error log to track it down.

Crashes immediately after the first day.

The mod has been updated to CK3 Legends of the Dead & 1.12 "Scythe" Update

New update stopped this mod from working properly, crashes the game after Day 6 in game

Seems to hide the Patron Council button for Changeling/Fae characters. Adding dependencies to the descriptor seems to have fixed it. I blame the launcher considering I put them in the same order as in your screenshot.

dependencies={
"More Lifestyles"
"Princes of Darkness"
}

Hi in the 00_lifestyles you are missing the any_secret = { secret_type = secret_sorcerer } under is_valid for sorcery so those with the sorcery secret cannot access the lifestyle even though they should be able too. Hope you can update with the needed change.

@Hyperspearman.Swf - TheRyuSword I didn't notice that you're right, I've added the modifiers, thanks

This mod isn't actually compatible with Werewolves. Add this code to the Regal Prosperity perk in the Leadership Lifestyle. Why this code? Werewolves don't like development.
doctrine_character_modifier = {
doctrine = gaia_hostility_doctrine
character_capital_county_monthly_development_growth_add = -0.4
}

doctrine_character_modifier = {
doctrine = wyrm_hostility_doctrine
character_capital_county_monthly_development_growth_add = -0.4
}

Not a lifestyle, that all looked alright. Everything looks alright when you start the game until you do your first unpause and then bam it crashes. It might have something to do with how they implemented the new feeding mechanism.
Askil  [author] 29 Oct, 2023 @ 3:47am
@Kudaria Thanks for the heads up. Perhaps they added a new lifestyle in the newer version? I don't have access to the dev build but once the steam version is updated I will take a look at it
Kudaria 28 Oct, 2023 @ 6:43pm
FYI in the latest POD dev build this is crashing the game as soon as I unpause the game after it first starts. I've been adding in mods one by one and testing with the latest so I'm pretty sure it's something with more lifestyles. I've double-checked my load order as well just to make sure it's not that either.
