man, i love this mod, but the longer i play with it the more it breaks. the miser's burden just took my money and disappeared without giving me any items as tainted keeper.

Hey,I saw that the Wilted Blessings can appear in Tainted Treasure Rooms,and it's nice to see that cross-mod feature in action.
But,is it okay if they can only appear in Tainted Treasure Rooms while the Tainted Treasures mod is enabled?
I think the Wilted Blessings having a T-Treasure Room item pool and other item pools could be a little too much,maybe.

If you have the Blessing from my other mod, the Wilted version has the ability to appear in a Tainted Treasure Room. I’m not positive if it works, since interfacing with other people’s mods is hell, but I think it should work like I want it to.

Found a but, if you have Deserter's Burden and find a shadow Fistuloid, it will spawn infinite pickups upon death.

Had an issue with Zealot's Burden where it took a container and didn't charge my item, then when I moved rooms and opened Encyclopedia it charged my active and drained a heart container every frame (killing me instantly upon unpausing). The next run spawned with max red hearts, which was more than I had the run prior.

You could make it so if you have Eden's Blessing, it would offer you Eden's Burden. If the player picks it up, it removes Eden's Blessing.

I don't necessarily dislike it just offering you the burdens for free though.


Finally, I want to say I love this mod a lot and really want to compliment your creativity. These were just some things I ran into/wanted to say in case you're still working on it! I hope to see you hit the front page again in the new year, because you deserve it <3

I love this mod and would hate to play without it, because it's just so much fun to buff up your next run to kinda secure a win even if you lose the current run, but it really sucks when there's an item that straight up doesn't do what it's supposed to and instead just hinders you.

Also with the tainted treasure rooms compatibility, I think they meant if you have the "blessing", to have it remove the blessing and give you the burden instead. That is how tainted treasure rooms usually work. For instance, the Tainted treasure room offers you "Eternal Candle" when you have Black Candle. Picking up Eternal Candle removes Black Candle. Eternal Candle makes curses appear every floor and gives them an extra, beneficial effect.

Some of the burdens just flat out don't work. The Zealot's burden just broke my game because I used it when I had 0 red health and some soul hearts and so whenever I WOULD pick up red health it would take it away seemingly at random rooms. I had 9 lives, which ended up being my ONLY source of health, so it killed me 9 times and game over. Luckily the "next run" effect worked though.
The Broken's burden doesn't remove the broken hearts each floor and I don't get a damage up on the next run either, which essentially makes it a "pick this up to lose 5 health" item - in other words, completely useless.
The Hoarder's burden also didn't give me stat ups.

Just pushed out a patch! Hopefully it doesn't take actual days to upload again :wogball:
- Added compatibility with Tainted Treasure Rooms! (requires A Bushel of Blessings to also be downloaded)
- Fixed a bug causing The Deserter's Burden to persist after closing and reopening the game.

2. I’ll definitely consider it! Not sure if there’s much more to it than adding them to the Tainted Item item pool, but I’ll see what I can do

Hey I got 2 things to say
1. Deserter's Burden's next-run effect seems to occur more than just once,even when continuing a run.
2. Since these Blessings are based off of Tainted Characters,I ask you this:Can you make a remake of this mod,and make it an expansion for Bushel of Blessings and Tainted Treasures ?

So, I don't know why, but when I changed literally one line of code, it took over a day and a half for Steam's backend to process the mod. If you're wondering why the mod vanished for a good amount of time, that's why. Thank you, Steam, very cool :spel2cave:

Slight bug with The Deserter's Burden. I got a trapdoor in a room with one of those holes you can fall into. When I came back out, there was a shadow version of the hole, and both of them started constantly spewing out pickups.

Seems to be a nasty bug with the Deserter's Burden and the Fistuloid enemy (id 308.0)
'Shadow' Fistuloids will constantly spawn out pickups during their death animation, which also will not end until Isaac leaves the room.

It's funny but it's a little busted and super laggy

@ToxicBoo I'm a bit busy with other prospects at the moment (and doing college at the same time isn't doing my free time any favors), but I have plans to add EID support once my schedule clears back up, so expect EID support to be added in a few days or so.

Will this mod get EID support sometime? Had a run earlier where I couldn't recall what the Harlot's blessing did and couldn't check the workshop because Steam was having issues.
