There's options to disable this mod for certain characters, but no, this mod doesn't fit the description that you seek. I really tried to keep the trinket selection thematic and close to the vanilla game. If there's a trinket that you think is unjustifiably out of place, I'd love to hear a replacement in the Suggestions or Feedback discussion.
Perhaps one day soon, I've been waiting far too long for the re-balance patch to hit the game. RR will probably undergo the rebrand as Kali's ____.
Hope you'll find the will to complete the RR Project one day, it was a very promising concept.
Fixed! Sorry for the delay, it's been awhile since I looked at Isaac Modding.
No problem! I thoroughly enjoy feedback on my mods.
Delirium can be always be accessed from the Hush floor, after defeating him.
I'll be fixing the multiplayer issue soon. Fell down with a cold this past week. As for the Strange Key choice, Apollyon is thematically an Angel. Having him start with the key to Hush (and Delirium), fits in my mind with angelic access to locked away horrors.
@Big Macc
I see your idea, but that may get a little verbose with specifically disabling specific trinkets between a single character. Is there a certain trinket you have a big issue with?
Thanks for the input, I'll debug it today.
@MrBalloons
I'm going to guess you meant to say Tainted Keeper. It's a thematic trinket that adds a tiny amount of defensive damage to the character. It's comparable as weaker version of the item Keeper's Kin. Blue spiders and flies have long been associated with the Keepers, but heart pickups only turn into blue flies. If there was a trinket that also spawned blue spiders on heart pickups, I'd go with that in a heartbeat. The reason why it's innate and not held, is because some of the design choices leave a hard and meaningful choice to make when encountering other trinkets during your run.
This time i'm notr trying to say that something else would fit better, i just dont get it Xp
Like, as you put other's trinkets it would seem much more Logic to have the Silver Dollar be the Passive one, but even that took aside, why Louse of all Trinkets??
It should work for co-op seamlessly. Though it may require a run reset after they join. But if it's not working outright, then it may be a mod conflict. What mods are you running?
Fixed! I can't believe that I missed a single line of code >.<
@MrBallons
Thanks for the feedback! I'll take that into legitimate consideration.
No worries! I'm glad that you appreciate the Crow Heart on Maggie, most people never touch that trinket on instinct.
I'll also be releasing another RR mod soon that focuses on supplementing certain characters mechanics, which will pair nicely with these trinkets in mind.
I'm confused by your comment. Purple heart was removed in the most recent patch?
I hope you enjoy the update! Let's hope I didn't break anything!
Yes there was! I do apologize, life just seems to get in the way these days. My current career path keeps me away from my computer at stretches of time, which is divergent with my passion projects. If you have the chance, I highly suggest avoiding three Puberty pills in your IRL run.
I should have time tonight, so here's my current checklist to complete:
1. Check various reported bugs.
2. Declare incompatibility with Permamiss's "Smelter Unlocks Marbles Too".
3. Re-balance certain trinkets, fix overpowered ones, and adjust some design choices with the collected feedback.
4. Create a credit section to commemorate those that helped with the update suggestions.
5. Add Mod Config Menu support to disable specific character trinket changes.
Could you post your mod list here, I could go through it and see if there's any conflicts. Off the top of your memory, do you have any other mods that change up the trinkets of characters? Everything that this mod does, occurs only in the first few frames of starting a run.
Oh shoot, I thought it was a chance based thing. I'll totally fix this next patch, which will be today!
I'll release that feature in the next patch! I don't know if I could add support for changing the trinket out for another, that would probably require a huge table, but I can add the options to just flat out disable certain ones. Trinkets like purple heart will play into a mod I'm releasing soon, called Characters Reworked.
@eywright
You might have potentially played a previous mod of mine for Afterbirth+ called Isaac Reforged, which a lot of the code is taken from. I have altered some of the trinket choices since that mod as I've familiarized myself with Repentance. If another mod creator in addition to myself have done this sort of thing, I wouldn't be surprised, as trinkets have become more and more expanded upon with every update.
