God those disks look amazing.... Looks just like Aerogel!

The disks go in the reciever slot rearby the reactor in the facility. The teleporters from Half-Life 2 teleport them and the other slots drain the cells.

The reactor can be fixed by interacting with the terminal in the facility with the reactor. There is also a hatch by the terminal's desk that accesses a crawlspace leading to the emergency shutdown sequence but be warned, THE FACILITY CANNOT BE ACCESSED AGAIN AFTERWARDS. IT'S STILL FULL OF RADIATION.
