Good mission.

-I appreciate the choice to switch from Covenant enemies to Flood part way through, and then adding Covenant back in for crossfire. Otherwise going through the same areas would've been too repetitive.
-I wish there was a bit more to the escape segment, like an unavoidable fight against the hunters at the top of the tower, or maybe having to shoot something down with the banshee. I just walked past them and it felt kind of anticlimactic.
-Even with the repeating indoor environments, this mission is better than some of the missions from the Halo 1 campaign. And Halo 1 actually cost money, while you gave this to us for free.
-I noticed that some of the rooms in this mission were based-off of rooms from other Forerunner structures in previous Halo games, which I thought was a nice touch.

Overrall very glad that map-makers like you exist. I look forward to trying the other missions in your collection.

Map's so pretty, I wish it was just the upper levels of the tower and none of the old sections. Seeing the endless desert through the tinted forerunner windows was so dreamy, felt like I was here before.

Map kinda gets stale once you meet the flood, for the reasons paytonthemetalhead and cmdr Salamandr 2 have already said.

I love what you did with the mauler and spike grenade. Really made those weapons fairly useful now, especially the spike grenade. Always felt that should be a way more powerful grenade, as it not only explodes but launches deadly spikes throughout an area to finish anything the initial explosion didn't. Great encounters as well. Overall enjoyed this mod!

I love these mods man. Please for the love of god remove the stupid orange shield jackals who ignore the fact youre shooting at them. they are not fun to fight in any way

PLEASE READ THIS legendary difficulty issue @Skorly hey just an fyi here the part where the doors rise up w/ the 2 brutes w/ the heavy machine gun turrets they have ridiculous amount of sheilds & health making it feel near impossible i can only sometimes take down the one but they run to cover & camp when their health starts going down

I loved the polish of the Forerunner architecture and the Covenant encounters, but the Flood sections felt unpolished, with only the occasional prop, and extremely easy Flood encounters. I personally believe the Flood encounters were lacking because they didn't have many hordes, which is what the Flood is uniquely good at. Overall great map, but I wish the Flood encounters were more challenging and visually interesting.

@skorly had an error playing co-op where the host was able to use the teleport at the end of the game during "escape" but i was unable to be teleported and was left behind, every time i would attempt to go through it would transport the host back to the new location but i would still be left inside the tower.

Thanks for another great map! For some reason though the brute plasma rifles and regular plasma rifles seemed to still be in the map like their normal counterparts??? Faster overheating and all??

I really liked the sections where you were watching the flood and covenant square off, I felt it a lot more effective to wait back unlike in normal halo most of the time. The hunters actually felt kinda scary to fight too, unlike normal halo 3.

Also, that part just before with the invisibrutes scared the shit out of me, I was minding my business browsing the covie crates so I could battle the hunters, (screw that window with you showing em off to distract me), and then bam! Brutes all over me and I'm dead. I thought you did an awesome job with that encounter.

@Skorly Thanks for the confirmation on the Marine squad canonically surviving (if they make it to the first gate control room in the catacombs during a playthrough of the mission). That moment when a Marine NCO / CO displays more common sense than a naval captain -.-
Anyway, on a side note... the upper segment of the structure, eg. before descending into the tunnels/catacombs beneath... so ethereal.
I apologise for the request, but could you potentially upload that as an independent Forge map? Even if mostly for aesthetic reasons.

@Minol'Koveln @Mr. Mud Marines definitely made a run for it after seeing the Flood. They got away just before the Covenant ship arrived to take care of the local Flood outbreak

@Mr. Mud Unfortunately, y/our Marine buddies probably got infected by the Flood, given the Parasite's proximity, clear paths for infection forms to travel from the lower levels, and a whole host of corpses to infest.

Unless the second contact with the Flood was confirmed, they promptly hauled ass out of the complex, to the roof, and were picked up by a Pelican.

Awesome mission, level design was awesome, felt very fresh, and the enemy variety was great, i love the touch of adding Sentinel beams and human weapons to the brutes, adds a new layer of challenge that felt new and kept me on my toes in terms of switching up combat strategy, while it was a corridor shooter the layout was great, lots of cover to play with, especially love how you utilized the great ost of halo 3 well, nothing felt out of place, length was nice and neat, not too overstretched not too short, overall i'd say its one of the better missions on the workshop, given more time i believe the flood sections could have been decorated more, I do like how you utilized the flood pallet to begin with but noticed a dip in decorative going forward But overall great work and also nice nod to midicant bias with the lights

Loved it on legendary! Kept my 4 marines alive until they stopped to hold that green glass control room... sad that they probably got glassed. Wish I could have tore out of there with them too!

Love the maps you make Skorly, always something to look forward to when I browse the list of custom campaigns on a weekly basis. The layout of this was really interesting and fun to go deeper into its chasms experiencing new fights along the way. I played co-op with a friend of mine and I gotta say, near the end reaching the climax where you fight 2 Brute Chieftans wielding Plasma Turrets was the hardest we have experienced in a custom campaign in a while. Keep the content going dude! You're a frickin legend!

Did a speedrun of this map, which was really fun, but do have a suggestion. At the spot timestamped in the video (https://youtu.be/optbi9bMo-E?feature=shared&t=72) , if you do this little skip, you skip spawns for enemies until the end fight area of the mission. Perhaps changing the enemy spawn trigger to a different spot would be possible so enemies still spawn?

Your levels just get better and better, it's hard to describe but I feel like every encounter has a really good flow to it and the difficulty was just right. It was a perfect idea to balance a double chieftain fight by adding in other distractions for them too so it doesn't feel unfair to get aggro from both.

I really hope you can make a mission that takes place in the Guardian map environement. That would be so damn great. You're making Halo 3 amazing again

I just realised that lore explanation I totally didn't just make up doesn't even make sense, considering your co-op aliens are also Elites. I might be able to add some friendly Elites in the mission to explain this away

@THEREADINGADDICT There were Elites in of the original Covenant forge tasked with guarding the tower, before the reinforcements you fight in the mission arrived. The ACTUAL reason is that the Flood Elites are dedicated shielded Flood guys, and having both shielded and unshielded Flood guys is more interesting

This is pretty bland.The beginning great, but the mission, most notably the flood sectors require a LOT of rework.
