CBA Warning spaming on server. Can you avoid this with (hasInterface) check or something?
I tried fix my self but this addon is obscured.

Can it be an item in a backpack, the slot of the watch also needs to use an altimeter watch when skydiving

As a person who enjoys playing in 3rd person from time to time, The strobe is Hella bright and to others it's even worse. We need an option to turn down that brightness and size control. Also, I'm pretty sure you know about the complete offset when in freelook. If not just letting you know its awful, other than that I love the idea considering it wasn't implemented in the vanilla game in the first place.

I see now, options show only when InGame (I mean mission), not in editor or else.

I don't see any option in "addon options" to make it ACE compatible.

@Dutch I appreciate it, the light is actually attached directly to the players head with a slight offset pushing it backwards to semi-align with the rear of the players helmet. Arma’s attaching system is kind of whack when it comes to bending over and rotating your head. I could try t play with it, but I don’t think I’ll have much luck.

It's great to see the reaction to your mod, it's a really good asset, also awesome that you got it working for AI and High Command. But I was wondering 1 thing - I noticed that the light sort of ''floats'' above the characters. Was this a deliberate choice instead of ''attaching'' it to the top of the head/helmet?

@G-Money, firstly I didn’t go to such “great lengths” to obfuscate the pbo. It’s a simple checkbox on the program I use to pack the mod. I actually forgot that I had the setting on. Secondly, thinking that obfuscating is solely for “preventing people from seeing how it works” is actually quite funny. If you really want, look in the config viewer and dump the functions ‘LOL’

@optisyenfikret High command functionality has now been added, mod has been updated. Use it through 'Supports -> Commands -> Toggle IR Beacon' while you have group(s) selected in high command mode.

t actually appears in supports in high command mode, but it doesn't work. It would be better to turn all group IR beacons on and off. thank you great job

@optisyenfikret unfortunately not at the moment, high command isn't something I've ever used or really knew about. I can implement it for you, would you like it if you could toggle an entire groups IR beacons on or off? Or would you prefer being able to select individual units?

@Kaung Htet not a requirement, ACE is only required if you prefer to use it over the default scroll wheel actions. You can configure this option through the addon settings.

An update is in the works, I just have minimal time throughout the week to actually work on it unfortunately. I'm adding ACE compatibility, with addon options to select which interaction method you prefer (Scroll wheel, or ACE). I will also be adding a custom keybind that can be configured to toggle your OWN IR beacon. AI beacons will be able to be controlled via the communications menu, and through ACE (Look at the AI units head) or the scroll wheel action dependant on which setting you have configured. I also have a few others features planned, such as brightness control, and the beacon mode (Flashing, or constantly on).

Or even just have an option in the action tab after selecting AI squad to enable or disable ir strobe. Other than that this mod is what arma night ops has been missing forever for the single player dudes! :WHII_Money:

Could you add a screenshot with an in-game example what it looks like?

Perhaps look at CBA and keybinds to make it not show up in the action menu? Or possibly integration with ACE? Mostly asking because action menus are a thing of Arma 2 so would be nice to get the modern solution :D

the easy way is to have the AI turn on the Strobe when it is dark and outside vehiicle and turn them off when the sun is up and inside car.

Maybe an order 'strobe on/off' for all AIs who are equipped with the item. I'm using a similar tweak for the AI's flashlights and weapon lasers. It was once part of the ASR-AI mod.

I dont know if it is possible but maybe have it so when they have the item it is automatically turned on and then turned off when the AI enters a vehicle? since the IR Strobe does not automatically turn off when entering a vehicle

Ace places it on your shoulder. This is fairly easy to mod though to work with the fast helmets etc.

@Dutch ACE has a strobe light you can attach to yourself and vehicles, though i think it places it center mass rather than on a helmet

You should make this feature for AI. It is the AI that gets lost and runs around anywhere, I want to immediately see my AI on command and other allies, so as not to kill these stupid sheep when they run out right in front of the gun in the pitch darkness!:steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

Mostly 3 things. Intensity of the strobe, so say low/med/high.
And strobing modes, so: constant, slow, fast, as an example.

I haven't personally played around with the ACE mod myself, however it's definitely something I can take a look at implementing. I initially made this mod as a quick thing for some friends and I to use while playing, seeming we couldn't seem to find a functional version on the workshop. I'm definitely interested in adding additional features, which are you thinking of?
