The mounting punch is a killmove that can happend while you're 25HP or lower...
Essentially, you just pin the enemy to the ground and start punching him, altough, your character is clearly struggling while doing so.
Apparently the x64 branch of gmod broke a lot of BSMOD addons just recently...
But then they returned to normal.
Maybe it's a case by case scenario?
Additionally, there are som problems with the BSMOD module for the Lambda Players.
If you have that module installed, i highly suggest you to disable or unistall it and try if anything changes.
I tested this addon countless times, yet for some reason it works for some people, but doesn't work for others, even by modifiyng the code, the problem remains the same.
Addon conflict is probable, but it's not always the case and i have no idea how to fix a problem that i know so little of in terms of code.
theoretically...
i don't know how to add an option to entirely disable them one by one
Essence of mounting punch can be performed ONLY while the player is 25 HP or lower, if you already tried that, well... there are a few problems...
First of all, yes, Essence of choke out should activate normally like every other killmove.
try this to solve the problems
Go to your addons in-game and disable EVERY other BSMOD Killmove addon you have except BSMOD itself and this mod.
Restart your game and hop into a map to test it out.
if it doesn't work, and you're still unable to trigger a specific killmove, go into your gmod intallation folder
(by default it should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod)
and delete the 'cache' folder.
open the game and see if anything changed.
if you still encounter problems, than i suppose it's my fault (even tho the addon works perfectly both for me and my friends i tested it with) or perhaps addon incompatibility of some kind.
I can't say for sure
You need to be 25 HP or lower while attempting a killmove
@Raptor_Killer 01
Other users asked me this, and it's something i'd like to fix... Buuuut...
Please scroll down here in the comments sections and see for yourself...
Unfortunately the problem isn't caused by the code itself... or at least, if it is, i didn't found it yet
first, you need to assign a key to the killmove action with this command:
bind k bsmod_killmove
and replace K with another key of your liking...
If you want to killmove people whenever you want, regardless of their HP, you can find that settings in-game in the BSMod oprions.
if there's a problem with multiple addons i really don't know how i can help you...
if only this one isn't working, try disabling all your addons except this one and BSMod Punch SWEP addon...
restart your game and try if it works
i may add a slider so you can decide how many HP you need to have in order to trigger it...
but of course, that will take time...
I only added chance sliders to an already existing addon that (as you may have guessed) already has it's own problems that i'm really struggling to fix... That's because i'm not a programmer, animator or advanced Modder... I managed to modify this addon without any knowledge of LUA...
Luck? yeah, maybe.
And since most of the animations for garry's mod are treated with Blender (which i hate and don't know how to use properly because of it's unintuitive menus and shortcuts), don't expect anything of that level from me in the near future :(
sorry
and i don't know why
Source engine has some trouble handling them without a reboot...
Also, try deleting your cache folder like i said to @Wryytarded
it might work
At least i know the mod doesn't break stuff XD
it might be an addon compatibility issue... maybe something that messes up with the player camera?
Could you please try doing that with only BSMOD and this addon enabled? just to be sure, because i really have no idea how you got that problem...
In the meantime, here's what you can try to fix it:
1: Disable every mod you have except this and the base BSMOD addon, then restart your game and try if it works properly.
2: Go to yourgmod directory and delete the 'cache' folder, sometimes it fixes a lot of broken stuff
3: bring ALL the sliders to 0 and see if any killmove still happends
I'm doing these tests too but i don't seem to have that kind of issues... I might have an idea on how to modify in order to make it still work the same way, but that will require some time, as i am a freaking noob in LUA programming >_<
