If you are on the latest version of More Waterfall Blocks (currently 1.0.0.1), please provide as much information as you can (including client and server logs) in an issue on the homepage, if not, please update and try again, as 1.0.0.1 was a hotfix for an issue which caused complete incompatibility with multiplayer if used with a mod which adds a water style.

Fyi this mod is incompatible with Verdant in multiplayer - possibly the issue the person below was having?

Ahhh so it isn't a mod interaction thing but a "multiplayer worlds don't like it" thing. And you just need to do a fix to get it to load good to know. Surprised I am the first to encounter this.

upon further inspection, it looks like tML only loads water styles client-side, which is probably the source of your problem, should be a somewhat quick thing to fix

Kinda random bug report but for some reason this mod was preventing me from loading my world in multiplayer. I am currently running some tests to see if the issue is due to it interacting with other mods. Or if it is this mod alone.

The best I can say for now was it was something to do with "TileSection(10)" and it being out of bounds.

Decided to test some things, and started a new world. No corruption, and also: I could craft the blocks! No idea what's going on there, but gonna chalk it up as a victory.

As unusual as the inner workings of this mod are, given it should only have any differences from normal blocks, items, and walls during loading I suspect you're right that another mod is to blame for that issue, I can't yet be certain whether or not that issue is connected to your inability to craft the blocks though.

Well, unfortunately one of the 4 mods I installed today has corrupted both my world and character somehow, so. I can send you logs, but there've been no errors or anything, the crafting recipes just did not show up (and now I have no map, cannot open anything and all blocks are lit 100%, which is almost certainly not your fault, but it *is* very funny to me that I ended up cheating in the waterfalls I wanted and then the next time I tried to reload the world everything was broken :P )

Odd, you should be able to craft them as long as you're in the right biome or the right fountain is nearby and active (or with any other effects changing what the water looks like active, such as a blood moon), if you can't you're experiencing a glitch that I'll need more information to reproduce, and I'm not certain what that information would be.

What does "With the appropriate water style active" mean? I'm trying to craft these, but no matter where I am, or what fountains are on, or what the water looks like, the recipe isn't coming up to actually craft. Am I missing something?

If a biome's waterfall blocks look weird the water probably uses some sort of custom rendering , I don't know why calamity's abyss water's texture would be red, but I do know that it works perfectly fine with every water style that I've tested it with, vanilla or modded;
I'll see what I can do regarding abyss water, but the most I can do is probably just having a way to mark a water style as one that doesn't use its texture for color and not generating blocks for those water styles.

The waterfall blocks from mods don't seem to look right, such as Calamity's Abyss being blood-red. Only the Yellow Sulphurous Sea and Astral Fountain colors are correct. Besides that, good mod.

Thanks to the magic of generating textures at load time, this mod only contains 4 textures despite being able to have 3072 technically different textures at (theoretically) little to no performance cost over pre-made textures.

In other words, you can use it just fine with old or new worlds, but if you place a waterfall block that's from a modded biome's water style then disable that mod the waterfall block will be unloaded too.

Can i play this mod on an already created world cuz it says it auto gens waterfall blocks but id love to just be able to place the water fall blocks

You don't need to diagnose it yourself, and the logs that might help are the client and server logs, primarily the former.

As I already said below, I don't know how to diagnose it further. The server log didn't show anything....which log do you speak of?

Logs would probably help greatly in diagnosing this issue, while I don't think you can send them here, you should be able to attach them in a bug report at https://github.com/Tyfyter/ModdedWaterfallBlocks

I know it'll sound strange, but hear me out:
I'm preparing a MP playthrough with a lot of mods (~150) and your mod is causing an incompatibility with Thorium and Homeward Journey, that either
- doesn't let me join my server (staying forever in "Receiving tile data: Complete!" or
- makes blocks partly disappear and those who don't disappear not blending into each other (https://i.imgur.com/wyXZCuj.mp4)
If I deactivate any of the 3 mods, the game works fine again.
So yeah, really strange behaviour. Lastly I don't know how to investigate it further. There are no messages in the server log and I tested always with a fresh character & world after loading mods.
In the above video I had these mods activated:

ThoriumMod,
ContinentOfJourney

Maybe you can reproduce it?
