Yeah it should probably work the same as in sandbox, just manually bind voice_toggle to a key.

Hello, does this work for regular TTT?
ruby0b  [author] 3 Nov, 2024 @ 4:56am
Update: This addon is now no longer needed for TTT2 since it now includes a toggle option under Gameplay > Voice & Volume :)
Abbs 19 Jun, 2024 @ 6:39pm
ah okay, understand. thx for ur answer :)
ruby0b  [author] 11 Jun, 2024 @ 8:15am
Yeah, I never got around to looking into that...
I've been working on contributing all of this to TTT2 itself though!
So the next big TTT2 update should have these features built-in anyway, which will hopefully fix everything (and make this addon unnecessary).

Hey, nice Mod. Thx!
The one thing that MrElectric talked about would be cool to fix.
I mean, it works as long as you get all players to press the button twice after assigning roles. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Sorry but I don't think I can help you with that issue.
It seems highly unlikely that it would be caused by this addon (especially since it wasn't resolved after disabling the addon).
Hope your friend got it to work somehow :)

When me and my friend tried testing this addon out (we both used voice_toggle h), my friends mic stopped working. They can hear me just fine, but I can't hear them whatsoever. We even tried to disable the mod to see if we can get their normal mic to work, but it just stopped working all together. I'm unsure what happened, is there any fix for this?
ruby0b  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 10:23am
Okay, thank you for narrowing down the issue :)
I wasn't able to find any obvious cause of this behaviour from a quick search through the TTT2 source code.
Might be a while until I get around to actually debugging it in-game, will update once I do though.
Mr. Electric 13 Jan, 2024 @ 8:47pm
@ruby0b found the issue, its that after every round when the roles are assigned its throwing all the players into their role chats and not global
Mr. Electric 10 Jan, 2024 @ 6:17pm
@ruby0b ttt2, i havent tried it in another gamemode
ruby0b  [author] 8 Jan, 2024 @ 6:09am
Hm, that's weird and definitely not intended.
I'll check it out when I get time.

Are you playing TTT2 or some other game mode?
Mr. Electric 7 Jan, 2024 @ 3:09pm
For some reason when we enable voice and the round ends it mutes all players. Their name stays in the top left but they need to repress the button for people to hear them. Am I doing something wrong or is this default behavior? If its default, is there a way to disable that and leave the voice enabled between rounds?

This is nice

Thanks!

If you're using TTT2, make sure to exclusively use the F1 menu for the key binding and run "unbind h" to make sure the command isn't being run twice (which would toggle it on and then off again immediately, making it seem like nothing happens).

If you're not using TTT2, try running "bind g voice_toggle" or pick a different unused key, maybe there was some conflict?
("bind h voice_toggle" works fine for me in Sandbox though, with no other addons installed)
Walen 9 Nov, 2023 @ 8:18am
Well, i still can't bind it, i need to manually type "voice_toggle" each time, instead of binding a key manually
Walen 9 Nov, 2023 @ 8:06am
Nevermind, it works. Nice addon!
Walen 9 Nov, 2023 @ 8:03am
When i bind a key, it says it's an unknown command, even if i press H, or the key i binded. Thanks for the help!
ruby0b  [author] 7 Nov, 2023 @ 10:58am
Should look the same as when you use the regular push-to-talk.
So if you're playing TTT you should see your own name in the top-left of the screen while your mic is toggled on.
In Sandbox it's in the bottom-right by default I think.

Make sure that when you press the button for the first time you allow the server to "record your voice" when it prompts you to do so.
Sometimes I had to press Escape to see the pop-up.
You'll also have to press the voice toggle button again after accepting the pop-up.

How do i know if my voice is enabled?
cool dog 23 2 Nov, 2023 @ 5:41pm
thanks man lmao
ruby0b  [author] 2 Nov, 2023 @ 7:59am
I've added sandbox support just now :)
cool dog 23 1 Nov, 2023 @ 5:26pm
