Hello everyone, I wanted to give you an update as to what is presently transpiring. I'm developing a sci-fi video game, with a bunch of SE modders, and we just had this little opportunity pop up: https://www.facebook.com/Shaostoul/posts/10218897253681722

If SE sponsors the development of this game (currently dubbed Project Universe), we could see a ton of updates to my SE mods, as I'll be able to safely work on modding a ton, while simultaneously working to develop my own game.

Yeah, it's something keen did. They messed them up. I have a few people keeping an eye out for a fix and if they come across one, I'll try to get it posted for ya. It's not something I can fix, it has to be the developers, to my understanding.

I have the Ramp Height 3 on one of my rovers and now I can't get up it (pushes me down or something like that)

Hey guys, I just found out that Keen essentially turned "advanced doors" into slides, which essentially breaks this mod. Could someone take a wheeled vehicle and see if they're broken for wheeled vehicles as well? I'd greatly appreciate it.

So, I'll likely actually end up moving on to developing my own game. I've got a decent crew working with me of fellow modders and our GoFundMe is starting to raise money and what not.

Not lately. My focus as of late has been another mod called "nanowalls". It's presently having a lot of code rewritten, so I can actually look at other mods. I have some stuff to check before I can get to this, but I'll try to check it out and see what needs updating.

An an FYI, it appears tht the lift might have a control panel on it? If so it is broken, BUT the lift works perfectly with outside buttons. Tis one of my most used mods, a nice simple lift.

@Bones, maybe? I have more important things to tend to before I do that.

@JDaremo, I have long hair, it's just way easier to keep it up in a ponytail cause of how hectic things were there. Not to mention it was a lot cooler temperature wise not being down.

Too bad Sektan wasn't there. Have you seen his Moon Project stuff? Like, Really WOW stuff.

Has anything been done to fix the ramp collision problem yet? I haven't played SE since last fall, been too distracted by real life and other games . . . and just got frustrated by a few bugs that seriously rubbed me the wrong way.

It appears that the collision for the ramps is a bit wonky, but there have been problems with other mods so it's probably just keen messing around with stuff(again). I also noticed that the ramps are airtight even when they are open, could it be possible to fix this?

Shaostoul would it be possible for you to make an inverted version of the blast door so it slants smooth side outward when it closes instead of inward?

Everything is almost perfect ....the biggest issue is when i put a ramp on a conveyor hinge on a small ship the ship is going from the direction of the ramp when i m trying to go forward.

Hey Shaostoul, I really appreciate your hard work on all of these mods and I wanted to say thanks. I was also wondering if you could possibly make another version of the lift that goes up and down 4 or 5 units instead of just 3. And FYI, the button on the Lift model seems to have broken, it would be great if that was fixed, either to be preset to reverse the lift, or just an open button free for the builder to custimize. Any help would be much appreciated! :steamhappy:

Oddly, seems to only occur in space master mode, and I it's technically appearing "above" the ramp (I'm placing the ramp, 1x2, upside down as a hatch)

Just a heads up that for some odd reason, when you place the ramps from this mod it places a second almost un-interactable copy of it downward a block or two from it, regardless of what is in that place. Trying to grind the copy down results in first grinding EVERYTHING within reach of your character, one by one, until nothing else is in range, before it lets you grind the copy itself. Copy also pops up in the interaction menu, and opens/closes appropriately O.o

UPDATE: October 28, 2016

WARNING: Sometimes mods corrupt when updating. Locate the 9digit number in the URL that corresponds to a 9digit.sbm file in the AppData/Roaming/SpaceEngineers/Mods folder. Delete that SBM file and it will force a redownload.

Finally! It took a while for me to get the update out since I got home from Florida but, all is well! My cousin's brain surgery went fantastically and he's returned to work. It's lovely to be back in Washington and have everything back that I missed. IE: My computer, bed, and amazing well water. :P

Thank you everyone for your wishes and being patient during that difficult time.

-This update brings everything to the current Stable SE version.
-Steam thrusters were quieted and white box shouldn't appear.
-Glass should be fixed.
-Many texture fixes to be in line with the new renderer.

Shao's mods use the new building system, just use your mouse scroll to cycle between various parts from his mod.
Also, Shao, PLEASE, reduce ramps' extending and retracting sound, not sure if it's on your part or KSH's, but they are TERRIBLY loud!

First off, I pray your cousin gets through it and i wish him/her luck.
This mod is unique to were it is one of a kind. No one has ever made slanted extendable blocks before. This mod would be perrfect for the famous extendable ramp out of a UFO movie. There is a problem that it is on dev build and freezes stable build when selected. People would love extendable slanted ramps on side off ships. Please continue your great work.

As always your mods are great!

I'm looking for something that extends out to be a covered roof or retracts to become an open roof, and these are the best I've found for this, but they don't hold oxygen. So, like jarhead says further down in this thread, a version of the slant blast shutter that holds oxygen when extended would be great. Longer versions of this would also br great.

UPDATE:
-Steam Thruster 'should' be fixed and quieted down.
-Added support for the new variants system. (4000+ lines of code later)
-Cleaned up some code.
-No errors beyond "None File Extensions" present on release. I was able to place, grind, and weld all blocks without crashes.

The mod was released via the development branch, however no code changes took place that will break it for the stable branch. You will get a prompt about this, but you should have no issues.

Great mod, Im just wondering though, mounted under my main hangar bay, the angle to the ground is SUPER STEEP. In your video the way you have them mounted it seems great, but in practice not so much... Maybe I misunderstood, are these not meant for ships but for bases to extend gangplanks up to ships? Maybe Im doing something wrong any info would be great.
