Does anyone know if it causes breaks in 1.6?
2ScoopsPlz 10 Jul @ 2:34pm

would it be possible to make incense give a bonus to meditation focus gain while near them? i like the idea of setting up a meditation spot with incense and such and just thought it would be cool if it had more than a story effect

Cody 31 Dec, 2024 @ 3:16am
God I love this mod.
mythicarcher 26 Dec, 2024 @ 2:00pm
Scrolling through the workshop and found your mod once again. Just stopping in to say that even after MONTHS of using this mod, it is my favorite little tweak out of all 300 of the mods I have installed. Thank you for your work and time!

Now we can bring out the Incense along our Iron. We truly are Blessed and Possessed.
DetVisor  [author] 3 Nov, 2024 @ 2:41pm
You're welcome, boss.
Lurra 3 Nov, 2024 @ 2:28pm
I really love this mod, thanks

Thank you for making an ince4nse burner that does not need extra fuel!
I love this!
Fumeknight79 18 May, 2024 @ 8:54am
Ever thought about making a thurible-themed one? Crusading isn't the same without a guy to throw smoke at people. That, and incense in churches usually is in pellet or resin form and not in stick form. But that's just my nitpicking since I'm the incense guy at my church. Otherwise, thank you, very cool.
DetVisor  [author] 13 May, 2024 @ 2:20pm
They don't require fuel, having a single crop for 2 decorative buildings seems excessive.
Sigourney Weaver in Alien4 13 May, 2024 @ 12:12pm
could you add a tree to plant and to use to refill the furniture? i love me some more plants :D
Latex Santa 13 May, 2024 @ 9:03am
@DetVisor
Perfect for my 40K Imperium of Man colony.
Gotta praise the Emperor and appease the machine spirits, after all.
DetVisor  [author] 29 Apr, 2024 @ 4:39am
No refuelables, it's bad on performance and I don't really see a reason to make a fueled variant, I'm all for realism but incense isn't a major mechanic that requires fueling imo.
Angry Little Coffin 28 Apr, 2024 @ 10:58pm
I absolutely love this mod and spam these things everywhere. Can we potentially get a fueled version that just takes like 1 log to fuel? Or even a crafting bench recipe to convert a log into a pack of incense for a bit of realism as well as something else to sell?
cant aim 15 Apr, 2024 @ 2:31pm
He, would you consider an option to turn the smoke effects off? Its fine if not just thought I'd ask.
DigiDragoon 14 Apr, 2024 @ 2:42pm
Hurray!
DetVisor  [author] 9 Apr, 2024 @ 11:57am
Mod updated to 1.5.
DetVisor  [author] 8 Apr, 2024 @ 3:07pm
Mod will receive a 1.5 update tomorrow.
DigiDragoon 8 Mar, 2024 @ 10:47pm
Thank you!
DetVisor  [author] 8 Mar, 2024 @ 5:12pm
Sounds removed, no point in a setting, I don't think anyone enjoys the sounds of a raging fire.
DigiDragoon 7 Mar, 2024 @ 9:10pm
If you don't want to remove the sound outright, Could you maybe add a toggle to turn the sound effect off for the time being?
DetVisor  [author] 18 Feb, 2024 @ 2:07am
Why couldn't they? I just mentioned tribals because they're the first thing I think of.
CheeseWheelGuy 17 Feb, 2024 @ 1:14pm
i don't suppose a space-age colony could also make use of these?
morrigan 15 Feb, 2024 @ 4:19pm
awesome mod! perfect for my new ideology build
Prophet 13 Feb, 2024 @ 10:43pm
does it really need a sound though? real life incense doesn't really make a sound
(plus the current fire sound it makes will actually drive me insane one day)
DetVisor  [author] 9 Feb, 2024 @ 4:34am
@Sleepy Dinish Yeah, I have to find a quieter sound, it's a complaint I've received a lot.
DetVisor  [author] 9 Feb, 2024 @ 4:33am
@mythicarcher Thank you! And don't worry, I never plan to stop modding.
Sleepy Dinish 8 Feb, 2024 @ 7:36pm
Great mod! But some options to disable smoke/sound from the incense would be nice. I keep thinking that there is a fire somewhere that i'm not seeing.
mythicarcher 8 Feb, 2024 @ 11:05am
This is such a pleasant mod. Such a small change, but so very noticeable. 10/10 Can't wait for more if you are planning on continuing modding. I will be checking regularly!

Epochs - Incense.... AND IRON !!!
DetVisor  [author] 28 Jan, 2024 @ 12:50am
Technically there is one but I made it really light so that it wouldn't become a bother, since you'd need more than one in big rooms.
Tirith Amar 27 Jan, 2024 @ 4:05am
Cool mod!

Any chance you would add a lingering smoke effect like the auto bong or an indoors fog, that scales with amount of incense burned and inversely with room size?
Creepy User 15 Jan, 2024 @ 6:57am
The monastic smokeleaf room just got a little more cool
InVinoVeritas 9 Jan, 2024 @ 11:47pm
Awesome Mod to help with maintaining those Pawns that are troublesome to maintain.
Gaming_Ball 20 Dec, 2023 @ 10:53am
can you please remove the sound? or have the option to remove it? its an awesome mod but the constant sound of roaring fire makes me think theres an uncontrolled fire somewhere
soup! 4 Dec, 2023 @ 5:11pm
Love the mod but the noise they make is extremely loud..
Lucky 3 Dec, 2023 @ 7:46am
Only suggestion to lock them behind a midevil reserch.
Renegaiden 27 Nov, 2023 @ 11:38pm
Just an FYI, game produces a (harmless) red line beep when one of these objects is constructed/loaded. Turns out the smoke effect is exclusive to Ideology, I guess.
DetVisor  [author] 24 Nov, 2023 @ 10:58am
Very odd, I might have to resort to them making no sound at all.
DigiDragoon 24 Nov, 2023 @ 10:56am
I want to add that this mod is otherwise really nice. Even with the noise I'll be adding this to my 'must have' list.
DigiDragoon 24 Nov, 2023 @ 10:54am
I've also encountered this audio bug. I tend to have 3-5 incense around the base, both towers and bowls. It seems like after loading or reloading a save some of them get really loud. About as loud as a map wide forest fire. As with the others, the only fix seems to be reinstalling the fixtures until I find the 'noisy' one. Perhaps this could be mitigated with a different sound effect that defaults to a lower volume?
DetVisor  [author] 20 Nov, 2023 @ 2:01pm
Gotcha, thank you.
Meshinator 17 Nov, 2023 @ 11:16am
I'm finding it hard to replicate - sometimes it happens back to back and sometimes I can go a while without it happening, but it happened a few more times since I posted it.

I'm not sure if it's when there's fire on the map (flashstorm, raid fire) or if it's just events that do it or what. I have several incense burners down, (one in forge, two bowls in dining room, one in kitchen, one in temple, one in kitchen) - I have to pick up all of the ones in the rooms with workbenches (and the dining room) for it to stop, but the one in the Temple/Altar doesn't seem to have the bug.

The only fix is uninstalling the burners, and putting them back again - I'll definitely keep my eyes on what exactly happens right before the audio starts bugging out.
DetVisor  [author] 17 Nov, 2023 @ 9:28am
I'm confused, how does the bug happen exactly?
M0ke 16 Nov, 2023 @ 4:42pm
Getting the same audio bug as @Meshinator.
Love the mod otherwise!
Meshinator 16 Nov, 2023 @ 4:29pm
Love the mod - super nice immersive touch to a castle.

I'm getting a really weird audio bug with it though, after some time (presumably when there's a fire near the tower incense), the roaring fire audio just loops until I uninstall the incense towers.
vin 13 Nov, 2023 @ 5:16pm
Would be cool if incense could permeate to other rooms similar to temperature, and their mood boost depends on their proximity or how "hot" it is in that room. I don't know how that works at all though haha. Great mod!!
DetVisor  [author] 12 Nov, 2023 @ 1:04am
Incense is meant to be mainly decorational. Adding more to the buff and giving it a fuel requirement would make it too powerful for the cost, and ruin the performance of the game. If you didn't know, refuelable buildings have a big impact on the game's performance, infact I made this mod with the specific intent to not make the refuelables for that reason.
