Regarding your last point, well, I usually see relying on gravity as a waste of talent too. The reason is very simple: the game is totally playable without gravity. Of course there are a few downsides: no easy flying components and rocks collection, no cars, no walking, jetpack's non-null power consumption. These are very minor inconveniences and artificial gravity in Space solves them exactly the same way a rocket launcher solves the problem of a bug on an apple pie: it kills the taste.
Then, this is only my opinion, not an absolute truth. This mod is optional and will probably be installed only by people with similar views.
I will not spend more time discussing the merits of gravity here since it's like debating over C++ vs Java ; I'll answer only to comments regarding the mod itself

Besides, if you don't like a mod, there is no point in flaming and blaming. It not like I'm forcing you to play without gravity or anything...
