I'd also love to see some synergy between this and True Actions Dancing!

Can you please make this occupation start with some random dances from True Actions. Act 3 - Dancing mod?

I have taken a look at the codes and I have the same issue aswell. However, since the traits are coded in and can be ( optionally ) removed and abused by the player, I fear this is a bug in the game and not my coding. So basically the game let's you remove the trait like you added them yourself, but forcefully adds them back due to the coding. The free points being added back is basically a bug in the game itself, cuz it thinks you haven't chosen any traits yet. I would like to take another ( long ) look at the coding and potentially change them, but since I don't have any time, this could indeed take a long time. If players want to abuse the skill points and ruin the fun for themselves and other players, that's on them. Furthermore, thanks for the headsup and may your survival be long in Knox County. :spiffo:

This is an add on mod created for the professional framework. I created the mod as described by them and I have no issues with my mods whatsoever and haven't heard any complaints other than from you. And so far I don't exactly understand what your complaint is neither.

There's plenty of workshop profession mods that have permanent traits programmed in.
You stated 'original mod' as though this isn't yours. Are you not the creator?

At any rate, I tried to help. Your other occupation mod has the same problem. No matter how you look at it, your submissions have bugs.

If the issue still persist, then it's on the game or the original mod itself. Remember, this is just an add on.

I tried doing a little bit of homework for your sake. I downloaded a few other profession mods to review their code against yours.
I'm no programmer, but I know enough to identify common references. There was often mention of 'FreeTrait'. So I'm thinking your trait must be identified as free.
orinmeow 24 Aug, 2024 @ 12:44pm
I'll highlight it for you.

If an occupation forcibly adds a trait to the player's character, they -must- be permanent to prevent exploitation. Simply removing athletic did nothing.
orinmeow 24 Aug, 2024 @ 11:44am
Update didn't work. I can still exploit the job as explained.

An update has been brought out. Please update your server or start a new character when using this mod.
RejectedBachelorContestant  [author] 24 Aug, 2024 @ 6:14am
I'll try to take a look into in it when I can. I'm a bit busy with studies and work.
orinmeow 23 Aug, 2024 @ 12:47pm
To Server Hosts:
DO NOT use this mod on your server, it can be exploited for overpowered character generation.
If you have technical know how, adjust the mod yourself. Otherwise, I fear we'll be waiting a long time for a fix that may never come.

Your mod creates skill point issues.
Unlike typical professions which add irremovable traits , the traits added by Exotic Dancer can be removed and abused for extra skill points.
Method: Remove athletic, change jobs, swap back to dancer, repeat.

This bug seems to impact skill presets too. Any preset saved with glitched points will be an invalid skill set. Which is to say, the skillset loads with a deficit of however many points you generated.

This can be remedied by making the skills a permanent trait in reference to the job.
EX: Park Ranger comes with an irremovable outdoorsman trait, preventing it from being abused for point generation.
==========
It's a neat job concept, it just needs a little tweaking. Also, I know someone posted the exact stats the job brings with it, but it'd probably be in your best interest to include these details in the mod description.

If your question is, whether this mod works for multiplayer or not. I haven't tried it out myself, yet. But other mods that also needed the requirement, did work for me in multiplayer.

There is, a strip club is in Louisville, it in the top left corner of the city, just few building to the right of the Military shop in the same corner, you can get bunny suit there if you lucky (it an event with 50% spawn special bunny girl zombie, if you dont see it, then you have to restart the whole run again)

Look for it on youtube, i sure you can find it ez
Mycroft 10 Nov, 2023 @ 11:04pm
Is there even a strip club in the game you could spawn at? Not in muldraugh, rosewood or riverside for damn sure. Still haven't explored much of louisville or westpoint yet even after all these years.
