Going to try this with Neat Storage. Will let you know if there are issues.
Andromeda  [author] 2 Jul @ 7:30am
@Arganot works with any storage mod
Arganot 2 Jul @ 6:30am
Will this work for Reel's Expanded Storage (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3237638097) or is a patch needed?

Отличный мод, спасибо!

When deconstructing a minified packable container, which is apparently possible, it should drop the contents.

This mod have compatible problem with adaptive storage framework
하나 5 Mar @ 5:27pm
I am using only Flickable and Packable Containers, not VNPE, but I have confirmed that the gizmo disappears. It seems to be affected by a mod other than VNPE, but since I have around 500 mods installed, pinpointing the exact cause is difficult.

A more critical issue is that once the gizmo disappears, some items completely vanish when packing or relocating storage added by ASF. I believe there is a definite compatibility issue between Flickable and this mod.

Can confirm issue from The Blind One, with the three mods the gizmo is gone.

@Mark Bobaba, I'm looking for a similar mod, like a trunk mod to store valuables. My traveling merchants shouldn't be throwing their advanced components on the dirt every time they arrive to a new tile.
Mark Bobaba 7 Nov, 2024 @ 2:39am
Does this calculate the weight once its packed, i.e. is the weight of the container equal to the container + everything in it?

I was hoping to use it on a caravan but it would be pretty OP if it made everything weightless
batatspamavert 1 Nov, 2024 @ 4:11pm
I missed this mod. Thanks!
VitaKaninen 23 May, 2024 @ 8:44pm
Seems to not work when packing buildings such as an armchair onto the shelf. It will not keep the items when I uninstall it.
The Blind One 20 May, 2024 @ 1:31pm
I'm not sure if it is this mod or another one because it's a three way interaction that is causing this bug but when you are using 'Flickable Storage', 'Packable Containers' AND 'Vanilla Nutrient Paste Expanded' the gizmo for Packable Containers disappears.

Flickable Storage + Packable Containers = Fine
Flickable Storage + VNPE = Fine
Packable Containers + VNPE = Fine

Use all three and Packable Containers' gizmo breaks. Load order does not seem to matter. I've tried every combination.
The Blind One 9 May, 2024 @ 12:59pm
Lovely! This and ASF are awesome together!
micmic25 7 May, 2024 @ 12:56pm
I can confirm that unsubbing the Adaptive Storage Framework mod and resubbing did work to resolve the incompatibility. Thanks for the advice!
Andromeda  [author] 4 May, 2024 @ 1:25pm
I think you need to force update Adaptive Storage Framework
Unsub and sub again
Krealsion 4 May, 2024 @ 12:54pm
@Andromeda Thanks for the news on ASF making the compatibility patch! Is there anything we need to download or do to get this patch to work? Just found and tested the bug myself to come report it, so I am still having the issue, so assuming there is something I am doing wrong (or maybe it just isn't uploaded yet)
Andromeda  [author] 4 May, 2024 @ 2:48am
Looks like Adaptive Storage Framework developer has released a compatibility patch! Give him a well-deserved thumbs up!
RageDancerWolf 3 May, 2024 @ 8:17pm
I really appreciate your diligence to work on your mod's compatibility, I think you and any modder whose active and diligent needs more praise and kindness given. Its a thankless duty often for most. Thank you so very much for your work and compassion. Much love to our community of modders and the users of mods who work with all of you in concert.

Ok, I have written a bug report to Adaptive Storage Framework as I believe the bug is on his side
Andromeda  [author] 3 May, 2024 @ 10:01am
thanks for the report! I looked at the logs and it looks like Adaptive Framework is making a very unreliable patch. I'm not sure how to patch the patch and not attract attention of paramedics
Wolfy 2 May, 2024 @ 9:30pm
Thank you so much for this mod. Absolutely love it. I also noticed when packing containers from Reel's Expanded Storage, it's removing the inventories of the storages. Same thing micmic25 may have noticed. If you need logs, let me know.
micmic25 2 May, 2024 @ 2:45pm
I love this mod. It's made big construction projects a breeze. Would you consider adding compatibility with Reel's Expanded Storage https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3237638097 Regardless, thank you so much for this mod.
Scarlet Ice 17 Apr, 2024 @ 2:12pm
Sorry, my mistake, it is the food barrel from Phaneron's Basic Storage, not from Vanilla Furniture Expanded Pack. They both have a food barrel.
Andromeda  [author] 17 Apr, 2024 @ 2:24am
Thanks for pointing to exact mod! I'll check it closer to weekend
William 16 Apr, 2024 @ 9:31am
this mod and adaptive storage framework are currently incompatible. Storage contents disappear after being moved/reinstalled, console is also flooded with errors after.
Andromeda  [author] 15 Apr, 2024 @ 10:35am
Just tested combination with Vanilla Expanded Furniture (all) and LWM's Deep Storage (Unofficial 1.5) which adds these barrels. Didn't find any problems
Scarlet Ice 13 Apr, 2024 @ 7:00pm
Found a mod confilct with Vanilla Furniture Expanded Pack. food in food barrel will disappear after moving to a new location.
Andromeda  [author] 26 Mar, 2024 @ 11:38am
@Mk1 I will no longer update the 1.4 version, only the current 1.5
As soon as [Flickable Storage] is updated to 1.5 I will see what exactly is wrong
Mk1 10 Mar, 2024 @ 7:51am
Hello, I have found a bug Id like to report.
When used with [Flickable Storage] the toggle button does not appear.
Indigo Cactus 19 Feb, 2024 @ 8:39am
I don't doubt that the mod works as well as you say, but if it does, why hasn't in been done before?? Just curious really. Was it difficult to implement?
Kenpa 14 Feb, 2024 @ 8:31pm
Very cool. Thank you.
Panda! 11 Feb, 2024 @ 9:52am
Not sure what cause it but I was making special weapons crates for my pawns that held minified manned turret buildings and some ammo. Something they can grab and go with. Having them uninstall the crate made the turret leave the container but having a pawn reinstall the container then stopping them from installing the furniture kept the item in the container.

Steam wouldn’t let me reply before but thanks for the reply, makes a lot of sense, cheers
KPLoopy 28 Jan, 2024 @ 10:38pm
<3 this mod. thank you.
Andromeda  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 1:09pm
@Dave I think it's better to make unique bag mechanics for this purpose. Installing an item to retrieve the contents sounds a bit odd
Dave 19 Jan, 2024 @ 12:24pm
Is it possible to add this item with customised contents to an animal, like pack mule entering a map etc? I'm working on a mod where the animal/mech drops a ..like bag / container type of thing but I want to customise the contents with specific drop rates

regardless of that cool mod

Well just think of the shelf as being put on Movers or Caster Wheels. We do this all the time in our life. Adding a bit of packaging to keep the stuff in. Besides, lots of times there is a weight and stack limit to most storage items. Yes you could technically by pass this with some mods but that is your call. I don't see this as Exploitive, just a very inventive way to move gear. Does the weight thing make a difference. Only if you want it to be. Vehicles now allow us to move a lot of crap with out much effort. Pack animals are getting upgraded all the time. So I wouldn't be so worried about Weight as so much with Capacity. (( Which as I am writing this realize that this is how the game says how a caravan moves is with "Weight" ... Oops ))
Cpt. Squirrel 13 Jan, 2024 @ 1:12am
I prefer if it is legitimately not possible, because even if I have self-control over not cheesing it, it still feels improper. It's better to actually know the limits and what is and is not allowed. Besides, a part of Rimworld is literally cheesing. Such as savescumming, luring the AI pathfinding, utilizing your equipment in the best possible way (not only looking but also analyzing the stat-cards of items and pawns).
PaperMan 12 Jan, 2024 @ 7:44pm
andromeda with the based "let the player decide the balance" stance
ZzZombo 9 Jan, 2024 @ 6:51pm
You can, as mass is a stat and all stats can be configured to use complex and arbitrary calculations.
Andromeda  [author] 9 Jan, 2024 @ 9:05am
@Arctifox no, weight of shelves doesn't change. Yes, I know it's potentially an exploit, but if you want to do cheating, you're on the wrong mod page
Adding mass to items can't be done by the original game at all, which means you have to write a very complex add-on to make it work reliably. The question doesn't justify the possible problems
Cpt. Squirrel 9 Jan, 2024 @ 5:18am
Quick question: does the weight of the shelf increase with items in it? Would otherwise allow for some cheesing tactics with caravans I suspect.
PinkPlinko 8 Jan, 2024 @ 2:48pm
You're kicking absolute ass with these wicked mods, friend. Keep up the amazing work! :D
Andromeda  [author] 18 Dec, 2023 @ 9:00am
@Avarice try to use something like Bioreactor (can hold pawns) + Minify everything + this mod to transport pawns without ticking
I'm not sure this particular combination of mods will work, and I'm not sure the universe won't collapse into a donut if it does work
Avarice 11 Dec, 2023 @ 3:45pm
40% of the reason I used the pocket dimensions mod, without an extra map of overhead, yup I'm in love! Time too see what happens when a shelf of holding that contains 1200 ogre stacks of steel gets packed up just to save TPS! (If I only had a ongoing save so I could report back)

(if it only had the ability to transport pawns it would have nearly replaced pocket dimensions)
Andromeda  [author] 6 Dec, 2023 @ 2:15pm
@Jet Yes. Yes. Yes.
Jet 6 Dec, 2023 @ 12:28pm
so with this mod you can pack a container full of stuff, uninstall it and move the uninstalled item to a caravan. Once you build another colony and install that same container itll have all the same items? Essentially getting around the emcumberance it would bring by adding each item individually to the caravan? The only weight added will be the container - not the stuff thats inside it?
