Thanks :)
Also yes apparently DX11 skyboxes still dont support certain parameters and thus ignore light and sun settings.
I will publish a bug report soon hoping that keen will fix it til next week.
Any fixes yet?
Speaking of which, it might not be that bad considering others might want a brighter darkness.
I would love to see a new Skybox with 95-100% darkness shadows, a dimmer sun, and no fog.
Thanks for the mod!!!
There is a pitch black skybox already.

@Major Kolton
Yeah there was a fog parameter but its rendered useless now afaik.
Not sure if/when/how something changes again in that regards.
@cakethulu
Yes
it's perfectly resonable for it to be pitch-black and still be very close to the sun. Anything other than pitch-black indicates the presence of matter in the area that is REFLECTING and SCATTERING the light from the sun. Remember, your eyes can only see light that enters them. The near sun is spewing light in all directions, but you only see the light that comes directly from it to your eyes. The surrounding area will only look anything but pitch black if there is something to reflect the light from the sun to your eyes.
Also like previously said, i am a pretty bad texture artists so it might be better for some other people to try and make a nice stary background.
Thus this mod is one of the mods that other artists with great skills in Skyboxes (like AedanXaelan) can check out and do for their own awesome skyboxes :)
That said, i guess that i will keep my mod the way it is.
Also editing the sun texture through a mod did not work two versions ago oddly.
And not that i am busy with exams, i might not spend much time with SE anyway :)
The odd thing with shader modding is, altering shader files and removing their compilation while running the game tabbed out is no problem at all.
Upon changing back into the game, the shaders get recompiled automatically and you can play, so yes i really dont see why shader mods are such a big issue.
@Phoenix
Alright i will look into that :)
@Dr.Dangerous
Looks like i cant get the sun darker for some reason. I altered the sun aswell as changed the transparentmaterials.sbc within the mod folder but that didnt affect the sun for me. So i really dont know how to change it.
However if anyone else could come up with a working fix, let me know :)
That means that you would need each a darkness setting for each skybox. Which is pretty bad imo, but well better than nothing :D
So yeah your tool might be obsolete now, but it had a use for many people for a long time and thats good.
A bit sad for me, but good for alle Players AND it works on Servers too. ^^
