The Futurliners themselves were moving exhibitions, they could show everything that their owners wanted to show, irl it was the progress exhibitions.

About jet engines - they were invented, but in 1936 they were not more than prototypes.
The first working jet engines in the USA appeared in 1942, however, what is the problem with using a truck from 1939 to display something from 1942+ year?

From What i know they mad 12 futurliners in 1939 and that was it there are 12 original ones ever build. They didnt build it with a jet engine display in it the truck the display was put in later depending on the company using it

in fact there doesn't even seem to be a 1939 one
from what i've found they re-used the 1936 models in 1939

well for one thing the 1939 one wouldn't have a display for jet engines because they hadn't been invented yet. this is a full 6 years before the first working american jet was built. this display was made for the 1953 versions to promote the firebird 1 concept car.
