norlin -- if you want pale only cims you can run my models through your Asset Editor, change each of their coloring, and save them to your local folder, then unsubscribe from my asset and use "no vanilla cims" mod and it should work for you.

Yea, there’s no way to ban tourists or vanilla tourists. Just have to make custom tourists to fit the pack.

i tried via the loading screen mod but it doesn't work :(

I am also going to release 10 tourists for the 1950s set. The modern tourists totally ruin the vibe!
m4gic  [author] 13 Nov, 2023 @ 2:37pm
Unfortunately, no. The Mod "No Vanilla Cims" only blocks vanilla cims from spawning if there is a replacement available.

I will release 10 tourists for this 1920s set, soon.
zetu.harrys 13 Nov, 2023 @ 2:32pm
is there any chance of a way/ mod to block/remove vanilla tourists?
norlin.martin 13 Nov, 2023 @ 1:22pm
I see your point.

You’ll need to ignore the minor movement issues — those are mostly an effect of how each Cim is coded to move.

I will fix the multi-colored skin tone issue with the young lady.

As to the skin tones — no, I am afraid I will not make a “pale/tan” only pack or a darker skin tone only pack — I did this years ago with “Brown Cims” only because the devs did not release any cims with darker skin tones.

Since then they have released a full set of Cims and tourists in brown and dark skin tones, and these mix freely with paler skin tones in the base game.

To segregate cims now, even for “historical accuracy” would have more negative uses and consequences than positive.

Also, some would argue that Asian cities need Asian cims only, to best reflect the historical and current homogeneity of those cities. There are packs for that, but I did not make them and have no interest in making homogeneous packs.

Thank you VERY much! Especially the kids are great. However, I noticed a few oddities.

- Some of them walk and move a bit strange, for example cross their legs when they walk, or don't move their legs much at all (the old lady with the hat)

- The lady holding something (a book?) in her right hand gets purple, red or green skin and hair.

- They guy in the jacket and cap/beret has some holes in the mesh around the shoulders when seen from behind.

And finally, with the obvious risk of sounding like an r-cist a-hole, is it possible to control the skin color? Back then, the crowd in the city I'm building, Stockholm, would have been VERY homogeneous, and I'm striving for realism. (I think "tan" looks more realistic than "pale" by the way).

Thanks again!
