So, I have finished doing a customization of this ship... I hope it lives up to the original idea of the ship...

I still use this ship as my goto for favorite layout. I may make lot of custom tweaks to it but the core shape is just the best.

Is this getting an update to the new system soon. (air, hydro, etc)
Surviving Sam 27 Apr, 2016 @ 4:05pm
slope b;ocks or nice she is very nice. impressed greatly by the massive hanger bay with the tunnel and parking areas very very nice. If I can figure out how to integrate the ARMS mod and the fleet command script so i can get fighter drones to use the return tunnel she may be the center of a new fleet.

Newer and sleeker is not always best. something to be said for old style battlewagons that just wwork.

The Re-work does look pretty nice.
Tristavius  [author] 17 Apr, 2016 @ 8:58pm
A bit of both; she was designed long before any kind of sloped blocks appeared in game. Were I building her now it would almost certainly be smoother but I also wouldn't just want one giant smooth curve - the detailing would be boring on that scale - and would likely have a few interruptions to make the profile more interesting. The whole hull could us ea lot more greebling work by todays standards mind you!
agrimes 16 Apr, 2016 @ 10:34pm
I'm afraid I was a bit slapdash with my interior work, it's not my specialty. Still, congrats! I have another remodel project with the Hepestus and while the mechanicals are coming on-line nicely, I just don't have the creative tallent for the finishings. I noticed that you seemed to have intended the bow to have a ridged appearance, so I didn't smooth it out nearly as much as I could have.
Tristavius  [author] 16 Apr, 2016 @ 9:29pm
Oooh that sounds interesting! Will take a look later. She's a big bugger of a ship, sounds like you had a lot of time crawling around in walls and so on... I know building the original took WEEKS... when I finished the exterior in about a week worth of evenings I thought I was more or less done but the interior took at least 5 weeks of solid work.
Eclipse Tech 8 Feb, 2016 @ 8:14am
An overhauled version of this beautiful bird would be amazing.
Tristavius  [author] 30 Jan, 2016 @ 8:59pm
Old, old design now from before modding was even a thing! Also, no need for UncleSte's now since we have the proper parts available as stock :) Wish I had the time to give her an overhaul... maybe one day soon!
Eclipse Tech 30 Jan, 2016 @ 8:55pm
This needs Uncle Ste's blocks.
Tristavius  [author] 30 Nov, 2015 @ 11:24pm
The ship per-dates the existence of blueprints! :) This is a world-file rather than a blueprint, you can find it in the Workshop button from SE's Main Menu. I can upload a BP version as well - I've done it for most of my other ships. On saying that, I imagine the paste-time may be a little system-breaking!
Der Shed 30 Nov, 2015 @ 10:19pm
Hi, I recently subscribed, and thinks the images I've seen look gorgeous. Unfortunately, I seem to have an issue where the ship doesn't load in under the blueprints section. Does anyone know why? Thanks!

Tristavius  [author] 7 Oct, 2015 @ 11:13pm
What sort of pics are you after? :)
Thedus 6 Oct, 2015 @ 2:24pm
Can you send me some pics of this build plz I've sent you a friend request
Thedus 25 Sep, 2015 @ 3:42am
yeah i would do a modded version and a vanilla version
ViccyQ 16 Sep, 2015 @ 10:02pm
Awesome ship. would love to see it smaller.
jarhead 16 Aug, 2015 @ 7:09am
I meant keeping it vanilla just adding or replacing some blocks to use the new ones that have been added since it was built.
Tristavius  [author] 16 Aug, 2015 @ 6:04am
It's on the to-do list :)

Due to the current status of several prominent mods which have not been DX11 updated, I am currently attempting to do something I always intended in the long run anyway - use only TVSI-Tech mods.

The roadmap for this now that my Mess Hall pack is released is 'Catwalks' -> 'Bunks/Bathrooms' -> 'Doors' and a few misc parts. The Catwalks parts are nearly done, the bunks are modelled but need textures and I have a half-modelled door. Bathroom parts still to do from scratch.

Once the modding campaign is complete, it will be on to a complete set of refits!

The Avalon also needs a Titan Engine equivilent, but I'm in no rush so it may just remain Titan when the time comes initially.
Thedus 16 Aug, 2015 @ 5:48am
yeah a refit would be nice
jarhead 13 Aug, 2015 @ 9:46am
Any chance of talking you into doing a refit to bring this ship up to date with new blocks (like the hangar doors, air systems, laser antennas, etc).
Tristavius  [author] 13 Aug, 2015 @ 6:46am
By happy co-incidence I made a guide for that long ago....

How did you make the blue schematic picture?
Xakthos 7 Jun, 2015 @ 8:23pm
Look forward to any refit. I tinker with this ship chassis a great deal. It is one of my favoriate hulls to refit and the only one that can be made pratical in survival that I like.
jarhead 15 May, 2015 @ 12:57pm
Would you be interested in helping with the design of a new carrier I am working on. I am also interested in helping to update this ship as well.
Tristavius  [author] 12 Apr, 2015 @ 7:12am
Most of my ships are updated every few weeks and yes, all but the smallest will be getting oxygen. The Avalon is now due a huge overhaul as it hasn't been since September... got a tonne of stuff to add... need a quiet week at some point though, so probably not soon.
Nigel Bloch 12 Apr, 2015 @ 6:21am
Will you be updating these ships to work with oxygen in the future?
Delta99 13 Mar, 2015 @ 11:58am
@Tirstavius, I figured something like that but thatnks for the response.
Tristavius  [author] 13 Mar, 2015 @ 7:04am
Hi Delta99.\ You are indeed correct about the cameras. When they were first released (actually the same week the Avalon was) you could link them to a button panel and access them that way. Sometime later that feature was removed.

The buttons beside each door are actually control panels for accessing the ships menu system, so no they technically don't open each indivial door.

The Avalon actually needs a big tech overhaul as there's a ton of new stuff she could take advantage of. Maybe now that they armoured slopes have finally arrived it's getting on towards being a good time!
Delta99 12 Mar, 2015 @ 7:01pm
Incredible piece of work. One question. The camera buttons on the 4 panel control panels (whatever they are called). Basically the strip with 4 buttons to press. When I use one of the camera buttons nothing happens. Isn't it intended to switch to the view of that camera? The only way I was able to get a camera view was in one of the flight seats by modifying with the "G" tool menu. The other buttons typically worked on the control panels. Like ones to open the hanger doors etc.

Oh, another thing now that I thought of it. There are buttons/control beside each hanger door but they don't do anything. Are they meant to open a single hanger door? I know there is a control to open all of them at once but wondering what this button is and/or if it does anything. Doesn't seem to.

Thanks Guys :)

There is indeed a full listing of stats in the images - there's a page of specifications and it's right at the top :)
MagnusEffect 25 Nov, 2014 @ 1:39am
would be helpful to list basic size stats in description of all your ships. as a general rule i try to avoid building anything bigger than 300x200x100 meters for performance reasons. still, this ship is my favorite capital ship i have seen. it is beautiful and practical at the same time. excellent work.
Alphanerd4 24 Nov, 2014 @ 5:02pm
Killer design! I love the lore that you've put into it :)

Technically the founder asks for contact via the forums, but if you post on the Phoenix steam page https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=270589080 you may well get a response :)

is there a good way to get into the Phoenix shipyard without geting on the forums?

#red shirt #16384, you are very late to that concept, a LOT (including me) used tha concept way before this ship was even released onto the workshop...

now with mods, we dont need to use that method to make warpdrives as we can just download a warpdrive mod. simple...
