Get rid of the circle and it'll be one of the rare acceptable taunt effects in my book.

I agree with @Sochwave suggestion the idea is good but something doesn't seem right and I think it's because of the circle. Add more animation to the vertical rays, as if they were sun rays falling on Scout, for now they just appear to be blurred rays.
The promotional image is beautiful and captures the idea well, just once again the circle seems out of context

Ngl I think a version without the circle would look cleaner. Otherwise, this one is far better than most taunt effect submissions.
