i dont like this mod it just dosent seen right
crump 15 Oct, 2014 @ 1:08am
also small ship thrusters in this mod are too yellow they should have the same effect as the large ship ones.

@manwichcannon sry, i play kerbal space program quite a bit :D and space engineers "isn't rocket science!" like kerbal is. I agree, but many of the loading screens and dates and times in space engineers point to the fact that it is in the late 2000's and humans have reached other solar systems using special technology. also, you dont use fuel to operate spaceships, you use electricity which is obtained from the reactors/solar panels, but i do agree that the flame in SE isnt actually "realistic" as you cant actually see the flame from ion thrusters it isnt a flame anyway. :conwayshrug:

Hey look none blue thrusters SWEET I can now have a ship that doesn't look like everyone elses thank you for the MOD.

I plan to enjoy it.
Beccacannon 9 Oct, 2014 @ 5:08pm
its called lamens terms kiesta. not everyone on steam is literally a rocket scientist, nor are most of them. but some people know what there talking about. half of the comments below explain why they probably are'nt ion based. anyway cool mod ramar.
ramrar  [author] 8 Oct, 2014 @ 7:46am
.. nowhere in the game is written that they are ion thruster
crump 8 Oct, 2014 @ 4:26am
those are used on satelittes today.
crump 8 Oct, 2014 @ 4:26am
the "blue" thruster is becuase it is an ion thruster, which uses electricity rather than fuel.
Beccacannon 21 Sep, 2014 @ 11:10am
the game is based in 2077. i think they can have blue thrusters. i agree with kozak but i love the mod anyway
SomeRandomGuy 20 Sep, 2014 @ 7:51pm
been of the net for a week nearly died
Tantalising Turnip 9 Sep, 2014 @ 11:43am
Actually it is very unlikely that ion thrusters would be used because their power output is appaling, though granted technology would be 63 years ahead. But an ion thruster propulses an object forward from the mass ejected and the opposite ionic charge on the ion expelled. essentially it's like chucking some electrons out of the back of your ship and hoping it has more aceleration than x10^-10 m/s*s

I have to agree with roman.kor here , your mod would be for chemical rockets like we are using in RL today but then again we also use a type of ion engine which iirc is blueish in color . Since this game is supposed to be based in the future one must assume that chemical based propellant would be eliminated due to their great amounts needed for getting out of gravitational fields so its safe to say that space engineers use ion/nuclear or some other form of propulsion so the redish/yellow thrusters wouldnt be "real" as you claim . With claims like that you have to kind of expect some form of backlash of some sort as its not exactly correct .

The mod itself is nice and would work great on those working on a rocket or something or those that just like different colors for their thrusters .
ramrar  [author] 8 Sep, 2014 @ 2:33am
It is written nowhere in the game that the thrusters are ion based
ŘimanLip 7 Sep, 2014 @ 5:34pm
Personally i think that origina thrusters are ion based (use electric power, relatively low acceleration), so blue color is ok. Yellow-orange color is for chemical thruster, this could be expand make chemical thruster with high acceleration for short time using special fuel.
ramrar  [author] 7 Sep, 2014 @ 10:00am
its a bug from keen, i startet a game without mods and i have the same problem
Tantalising Turnip 7 Sep, 2014 @ 8:39am
Nope, I just loaded a different mod on (the ion thrusters) and the engines stopped damaging my ship.
ramrar  [author] 6 Sep, 2014 @ 2:54pm
this are the original thrusters with another colour, did you have edit your thrusters?
Tantalising Turnip 6 Sep, 2014 @ 1:10pm
I don't know if it the recent update or your mod, but the large small ship engines burn through anything next to them, which makes it impossible to armour them in any way.
Quickdraw6 5 Sep, 2014 @ 11:22pm
It looks cool, but yeah. Infact, the thrusters we see in the base game are more of ionized particle thrusters. Highly ineffectual in an atmosphere, but in the vacuum of space it is rather effective. In contrast, these fuel-burning thrusters work well in both space or an atmosphere, particularly one containing oxygen, but in space if you don't have oxidizer then your rocket fuel may as well be useless.
Guardsman Miku 5 Sep, 2014 @ 8:23am
now we need particle effects!
Grigori Kir 4 Sep, 2014 @ 12:20pm
@Gritcar, following up on your post, technically that's a very light, faded blue. Say we start out with the current shade of blue on the default thrusters. Well, the hotter the emittions the lighter that blue is. It can fade all the way to as if it's white. All that said, it's following realistic principles.
[PEGASUS] H 4 Sep, 2014 @ 9:41am
Fubnciona ala perfeccion
es muy realista
ramrar  [author] 4 Sep, 2014 @ 7:24am
yes, now i know it ^^
Overlord 4 Sep, 2014 @ 5:25am
you know that the flame color is orange because there is Oxigene in the atmosphere, but in space there is no oxigene so the "real" color is Blue
ramrar  [author] 4 Sep, 2014 @ 2:06am
thx, i will edit it ^^
SomeRandomGuy 3 Sep, 2014 @ 6:29pm
whats the point of free modding thats sux
tobyman59 3 Sep, 2014 @ 5:56pm
Here I have rated your thruster colours yes I am English hench the u in the word colour. Jokes aparts its looks like you put some thought into making this mod and it looks darn good okay.
ramrar  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 11:33am
@Shaded, sry i cant edit the Titan Enginge, Darth Biomech said no ^^
[PEGASUS] H 3 Sep, 2014 @ 9:43am
very good thx
ramrar  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 7:42am
okay, but i need to ask Darth Biomech ^^
Shaded 3 Sep, 2014 @ 6:26am
Yeah please add the titan engine!

dudes, please rate it ^^
ramrar  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 5:27am
is this a mod?
SomeRandomGuy 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:35am
A motor look it up dude its GREAT
ramrar  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:33am
titan?
SomeRandomGuy 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:27am
Could u make like a titan but a little bigger a more powerful ?
SomeRandomGuy 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:26am
nice thrusters bye the way!
SomeRandomGuy 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:26am
I was backing u up
ramrar  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:24am
this are thrusters, not plasma cutter ^^
SomeRandomGuy 3 Sep, 2014 @ 4:20am
I work on plasma cutter and it was not blue it was white
ramrar  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 2:26am
thx ^^
Magrivoy 2 Sep, 2014 @ 4:33pm
nice...
Grigori Kir 2 Sep, 2014 @ 12:40pm
If the title is actually hinting towards a more 'realistic' thruster color, I disagree. These are nuclear powered, electrical thrusters. Thus, possibly leading to a plasma based thruster, hence there being light blue emittions. And to clarrify, this is different then a ion electric thruster used on sattlelites for example.

If this isn't it at all, then I kinda find the title misleading. However, happy modding regardless.

ramrar  [author] 2 Sep, 2014 @ 3:17am
I'll ask him if I could edit his mod
Draconogia 2 Sep, 2014 @ 2:17am
Darth Biomechs Armor Thrusters https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=295393216 I like your idea for thruster colors over the others on the workshop great work and the look great.
ramrar  [author] 2 Sep, 2014 @ 1:42am
if you give me the thruster names, then i can try to edit the colors
eXor 1 Sep, 2014 @ 7:37pm
only vanila cause there is no global config file for item settings like color. could be another update and change for keenswh
Draconogia 1 Sep, 2014 @ 7:18pm
does this work on modded thrusters or just vannila?
