yea so there is no more "regular" version of this mod because i dont have the money to afford the two dlc needed is there a way you can make a regular version for those that don't possess the DLC
alien.system  [author] 6 Jan, 2018 @ 10:32pm
That depends on your personal definition of the word. All of the armors use models already in the game, but some people might consider it against the lore than you can craft (for example) something looking like the Nightingale armor without having done the thieves guild quest.
=T$ECore=JohnnyTeoss◢689◤ 6 Jan, 2018 @ 6:45pm
Is it lore friendly?
W03 26 Apr, 2017 @ 12:21am
i installed this and nothing happened to the smithing tree and i have all the dlcs and no mods that would do anything to the smithing tree
Baboof4278 2 Feb, 2017 @ 2:17pm
I was wondering if you could make a armored clothes mod. I want to wear my clothes all the time, but then I have to have some armor otherwise I die immediatly.
Chuckapony 15 Dec, 2016 @ 9:51am
I've looked further into it and found that you cant improve weapons until you reach a certain smithing level anyway, I assumed iron and leather could be done off the bat, so that's my bad. Thanks anyway.
alien.system  [author] 15 Dec, 2016 @ 8:38am
This mod doesn't change the classical improvement "recipes", so iron weapons should be improveable as usual. However, with or without mod, it's not possible to improve enchanted items unless the Arcane Blacksmith perk has been taken, maybe that is the issue.
Chuckapony 14 Dec, 2016 @ 12:51pm
i've found in my modded game that i can create but not improve iron weapons and armor with a relatively new character, is this a feature of this mod?
Shadow_Legion 30 Nov, 2016 @ 3:09pm
Thank you, now ima go make some new weapons and armors
alien.system  [author] 29 Nov, 2016 @ 11:20pm
It adds more armors and weapons. I haven't changed how the improving works because with enough Fortify Smithing, you can already improve weapons way past reasonable.
The word 'legendary' of the weapon improvement is only a label that is applied above a certain amount of improvement. You can't improve things so they are rated as above legendary, as there is no category above it, it's open-ended.
If you know how, you can improve weapons to a million damage or more per strike (since it involves an exploit and seriously reduces the fun you'll have, I won't say more), and those will still be called 'legendary'.
Shadow_Legion 29 Nov, 2016 @ 4:46pm
Does this just allow you to make more armors? or does it allow you to improve weapons and armor more? and can you improve items past legendary?
PRIMALUS 9 Nov, 2016 @ 1:25pm
Thank you!
alien.system  [author] 9 Nov, 2016 @ 6:33am
I'm back after years for an update. It's three small bugfixes, but more impotantly, once I figure out how the Special Edition CK works, I'll port it over to it as well.
PRIMALUS 2 Nov, 2016 @ 5:05am
This mod is very good. Please make this mod for the special version of Skyrim as well.
Timesplitter 13 Jul, 2016 @ 5:26pm

@alien.system, thank you for your prompt reply and sorry for the mistake!

That answers my question very thoroughly and is very helpful, thank you.

To clear what might be a little misunderstanding: I mean the mod “RESPEC” by absinth.
Do you know it?
alien.system  [author] 2 Mar, 2016 @ 2:38am
I'm not Owlburger, but since this is my version of the mod, here's the answers:
1) Respeccing or making the skill Legendary should not cause any problems. The extra perks will be cleared.
2) Adding the mod to the game will not cause any troubles, except that the Smithing tree will develop a few holes, meaning the new perks, which don't override old ones, will need to be unlocked with perk points, even when you already have perks higher up in the tree unlocked.
Removing the mod from the game should be done with care. It will not destroy safegames, but before unloading it, unequip everything to prevent "free-floating" effects to appear. Specifically, if the equipment made with this mod is enchanted, any enchantment effect on you will not be removed when the game removes the modded equipment.
Antares 2 Mar, 2016 @ 1:14am
@Owlburger, Browsing through the Mods and just found your work: WOW!
great ideas and so many of them! Where to start?
With the smithing tree, naturally. Looks reeeealy good.
Question: 1. do you know, does it work with “RESPEC”?
2. can I load/unload it in game?
Thankyou and Greetings.

Wendersnaven 2 Aug, 2015 @ 12:29am
It's pretty good for the lower armor skins at higher tier. I had some no face bugs with the steel helm.

HypoFallen 28 May, 2015 @ 2:18pm
Q!!! i love this mod its great. can you make a similer one exept for enchanting?
Lord Of Iron 1010 26 May, 2015 @ 10:24am
Really cool mod but add some things in the Misc. items in a future update and a perk too.You could add a crafting recipe for the Skeleton Key (fake) and the Dragonstone (also fake) or other things like that.
Speedi Chonker 23 May, 2015 @ 1:49am
i like this mod and all BUT whenever i try to launch the game, it crashes right after it says "bethesda" and it might be because i have your smithing tree redesignd v2.somethin
eslehto 9 Apr, 2015 @ 11:53pm

Hi. Great mod. Like that i can craft all types of armor and clothing. But i have a question. I was not able to enchant the Greybeard's Robes. Is this a bug?
Pagemaster 4 Jan, 2015 @ 9:41pm
YOUR Nordic style has a glitch in which I go bald if I equip the Vanpire clothing and can't wear a hood
eschomann 8 Dec, 2014 @ 3:32am
Now you can make all possible armor that is in the game without using the console commands. Which imho is an awesome addition to a touch of roleplay to Skyrim. So now you can create a Greybeard, Forsworn, a jester and also run around as a chef for example.
I just found 1 minor flaw. Children seem not to recognize the Greybeard gear, so they are constantly yelling at you:"You are naked!".
Not sue about other gear so far.
Thanks a lot for the good work.

I like mod but havent been able to use it, getting dawngaurd, hearthfire, and dragonborn extintions soon though!

This is just what i was looking for because I hate the look of elven armor, and scaled armor.
serace_ 22 Sep, 2014 @ 2:39pm
I did read it, and it seems my mods conflict with 'Skyrim Redone' or SkyRE
alien.system  [author] 21 Sep, 2014 @ 10:19pm
Please read the FAQ and use your brains. I can't tell if it works with Skyre, because I don't know what that mod does. And Ars Metallica actually lists all things it changes, so it shouldn't be too hard to check whether or not the smithing tree is among that.
serace_ 21 Sep, 2014 @ 1:19pm
does it work with skyre?
doleman1 21 Sep, 2014 @ 11:57am
i suggest some sort of heavy fur armour.
The Beep Man 18 Sep, 2014 @ 8:00am

Goblin 17 Sep, 2014 @ 9:35am
thank you both.
The Beep Man 17 Sep, 2014 @ 8:23am
legendary skills give you your per points bac so you can use them again you can also level them up again so you level up even if ur at level 81 i think
alien.system  [author] 17 Sep, 2014 @ 4:30am
Also, Update happened. Nordic Weapons and Armor are available as a light set upon reaching mastery.
alien.system  [author] 17 Sep, 2014 @ 4:29am
I don't know why Bethesda implemented making perks legendary like they did, but I'm not going to mess around with it. Because for one, I'd need to give every Perk some bonus when making it legendary, and this is a mod for smithing alone. And secondly, I'd need to mess around with scripts, which would make this mod more difficult to uninstall.
The 'Legendary' in the mod title is a reference to the Skyrim Legendary edition, not to legendary perks.
