But can't get myself to play without VRO.
Don't think you can fix the issue with Superior Mods (Cheat Modification) because the issue with that particular mod is it takes the average movement speed and x10's it. XL Vessels move like S Jaguars and same turn rate. Those ships are designed to go fast because they're small and can zip around objects. XL just crashes through them and does it at such a rate that the hull doesn't register until after the fact causing an asteroid or debris or w/e else to now exist within the hull where you can't touch it.
TLDR; Your mod is fine it's just engine limitations and people doing stuff they shouldn't be doing.
It has issues with Superior Mods & Travel Drive (The cheat modifications) you can apply to vessels which is what he could've used, (That mod breaks everything though so nothing new)
It activates travel drive just fine for me, Only issue is when you spawn it at very start and stuff gets clipped inside. Only way to fix is exit sector issue new order and it'll fix after about 3 mins then you can travel drive again.
Aside from that dunno what he's on about in-ability to travel, An asteroid or small object probably got clipped into his ship cause he flew too close to a highway or asteroid cluster.
VRO = Scroll through buy menu for an hour to get relevant parts which usually end up being internal shield generators. Then, You have to rebalance the ships damage cause it now does 2 - 3x what it would've in Vanilla and VRO rarely does anything positive for Xenon so Xenon get memed ever harder than they already were.
Nobody said anything about Compatibility, VRO makes the game actively run worse ontop of the balancing nightmare.
Take your clown wig off and stop crying cause someone talked negative about VRO.
