@Ruby hmm that is odd, i've never heard of anything like that happening with this mod... Sorry to hear that! this is an ancient mod made for the vanilla legendary edition. What edition are you playing?

This mod permanently broke my game.
I have the original version with no DLC. Despite this mod claiming to not need any DLC, it still requires Dawnguard according to crash logs. I went through the process of uninstalling by using the console command but the script continues to attempt running even after unsubscribing and deleting the mod manually. And if that weren't enough the action that causes the game to crash is me simply trying to see a merchant's wears.
I'm now having to factory reset my game. Subscribers beware.

Thats super wierd... sorry about that. Never heard of that, and this has been published for just under a year. Works fine with me too: I have played with it on since i published. Might be something i can do though. are you at all familiar with modding?
The Slender Man 28 Aug, 2015 @ 7:47pm
Yep... Upon leaving a town or entering the game crashes... It works fine since I unsubscribed.. thats unfortunate too.. becasue now i find myself manually taking my follower's helm off just because i wanted that effect so bad lol.. the mod never worked tho.. didn't even have the option to tell him to keep it on... but it definitly loaded and was active.. might wanna run a few more test's on it... good luck tho bro! great concept never the less ;)

@ The Slender Man: How did it break the game? Crash to desktop?
The Slender Man 25 Aug, 2015 @ 7:20pm
This totally breaks the game and doesn't work... unsubscribing.

Cool, just some wierd skyrim bug I guess. Glad you got it working
Commander Rial 16 Oct, 2014 @ 1:39pm
So I'm not sure what the problem was but as long as everything is working as it's supposed to, I'm happy!
Commander Rial 16 Oct, 2014 @ 1:39pm
Well, I'm not quite sure what the problem was but I got it working. I'll post for anyone else who has the same issue in the future. I tried moving the mod to the bottom of the load order, but that didn't seem to help. I skipped the unsub/resub step because I'd tried that in the past, to no avail.

So then I turned off all of my mods except this one and the one with my follower. I had to mess around with saves and un-equipping and re-equipping for a minute but I got it working. After that, I just closed the program and turned on my mods again in groups for 4 to 7 (because doing it one at a time would have taken waaaaay too long). Every time I re-entered the game, I just used a console command to bring an enemy to me (In this case, I liked the Vampire Assassin the best) and every time, my follower would equip her helmet for combat and take it off afterward. I continued the process until all of my mods were back on and for some reason it works now even while all my mods are back on.

Oh, and you can do the unsub/shutdown fixes in either order. I organized them according to diffuculty in my previous comment, but you can do what you want.
Joseph Basher  [author] 16 Oct, 2014 @ 12:32am
@ Commander Rial: First off, thanks for actually reading the other comments before posting. Secondly, yes, it does sound as though one of your other mods is affecting it. First, try moving this mod to the bottom of your load order. Then, if it still doesn't work, un-subscribe, make a new save, and re-subscribe. If this doesn't work the only other option i know of is to ystamatically turn off your your other mods to see which is causing the problem. DON'T SAVE WHILE YOU'RE TESTING! After you've found the culprit, you can re-activate your other mods, and not deal with save corruption. I will warn you though, since i don't know what mods you have: you may want to backup your saves first, specifically if you have mods that require specific steps to uninstall. I hope this fixes it. If it doesn't fix it, you can always write back with more info.
Commander Rial 15 Oct, 2014 @ 11:00pm
I've tried every troubleshoot I've seen in the comments and nothing has worked so far. I've even moved it up in the load order and I can't get it to work. I'm using a follower created in the creation kit, but she's pretty generic. Now, when I first downloaded this mod, it worked fine. But then I downloaded some other mods and it's not working. Naturally, I'm assuming one of my other mods are affecting it, but I've since gotten rid of a lot of mods and this one still isn't working. Nor am I sure which mod would be affecting it. Any help?
Sunwakka 8 Oct, 2014 @ 6:06am
its fine she looks good without a helmet anyway ;P
Joseph Basher  [author] 7 Oct, 2014 @ 4:47pm
@ sunwakka: Ok, I checked it out, and Sophia uses a system incompatable with this mod. Sory about that, I hadn't considered that posibility when I said this mod could be used with any other follower mod. I've updated the description, and I apologise for the previously flawed description. If I find a way to fix this, I'll do it.
Joseph Basher  [author] 5 Oct, 2014 @ 1:04pm
Ok, I'll take a look. For starters try dismissing her, saving and quitting, and then re-hiring her. You can also try removing her helmet and giving it back to her.
Sunwakka 2 Oct, 2014 @ 3:29pm
It wont work with a follower mod i was planning to use this mod on. The follower mod Sofia-the fully voiced follower mod.
Joseph Basher  [author] 1 Oct, 2014 @ 2:19pm
Ok, good
Vallalār 29 Sep, 2014 @ 1:01am
It works perfectly now, I just had to re-equip helmet
Joseph Basher  [author] 28 Sep, 2014 @ 7:18pm
Cool, glad to hear. Another common fix for dialogue issues is the simple save and quit. At least, that fixes most of mine.
WindST 28 Sep, 2014 @ 12:35pm
I downloaded the Better Dialogue Controls by ecirbaf, fixed my problem.
Joseph Basher  [author] 28 Sep, 2014 @ 11:27am
No, thats not the reason. Is it a mod follower? Also, what exactly isn't working? Just the dialogue, or the whole thing?
Vallalār 23 Sep, 2014 @ 2:04am
It is not working for me, maybe because my follower is married with me?
Joseph Basher  [author] 14 Sep, 2014 @ 12:45pm
let it download again from the launch menu
WindST 14 Sep, 2014 @ 4:20am
The menu bug, are still there.
Ranger56 8 Sep, 2014 @ 7:37pm
Wow... I've actually been looking for a mod like this, because if I'm indoors and relaxing with my followers, I don't want to go through the effort of taking the helmet from their inventory. Much more immersive, as if your followers just do it because they want to relax too.. Subscribing and rating!
John Shepard 4 Sep, 2014 @ 12:06am
nice stuff
Joseph Basher  [author] 4 Sep, 2014 @ 12:04am
Version 1.1 has been released. People subscribed previous to the update need to let their mods synchronize, and may have to dismiss and save and quit for the update to take effect.
Joseph Basher  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 10:41pm
This update will also resolve the menu bug, and should be done tonight.
Joseph Basher  [author] 3 Sep, 2014 @ 10:41pm
An update including a much more immersive diologue helmet management is almost done.
