type "/cleanseworld" and "/modifydeaths 0" you might be confusing world deaths and player deaths, these two commands reset both if it still doesnt respawn you add me on discord blindeex

Hello, we accidentally set the hardcore settings to be on and now we can't respawn as ghost even with the settings turned off. Even if we reset our death counts, after we died once it'd say we have reached the maximun lives for the server.. Is there any fix to this?

Disable mods one by one until issue disappears and tell me which mod is causing it or even better send client.txt file to discord "blindeex"

upon install dying in a multiplayer world will set your respawn timer to 83 minutes and 16 seconds if a boss is alive regardless of settings.

released quick fix for that, 1.2.1v wont crash anymore but I think majority of features wont work didnt test

huh goofy message by them well these two mods arent compatible as it says iirc vanilla qol changes respawn timer in a way which isnt suitable for my mod to work

Everything is fine with few bosses I tried on calamity infernum mode if it happens with all bosses some kind of mechanic in another mod is respawning you

playing in multiplayer Infernum mode for calamity and even though I limit the player lives during bosses people still respawn, any idea whats going on?

I was asking 'cause I do like you mod a lot and tried it on Hardcore to really see it's potential <3
I do like the altar mechanic a lot tho haha. You should at least enable it as an extra option.

Btw, I tested it along with the Revive Mod and Death counts remains the same after being revived. I know you only tested it with the Calamity Mod but I think it's good thing to point it out too if you are willing to improved it :3

and about legit way of reducing deaths I was thinking to make altar that would require 2 soul fragments from alive players to reduce deaths by 1 of another player, it would be obtained by sacrificing one life of your own but ended up not doing it, I dont think theres enough people using hardcore settings in my mod

Modified command now its renamed into /ModifyDeaths and accepts number to set player deaths to any value you want

Or, as an idea, you can add an option to the mod to allow a consumable item to spawn on the world similar to the Heart Crystals which subtracts 1 of your deaths if you have any, allowing you to die one more time. And maybe having a very long cooldown til you can consume another one again.

Hardcore character becomes a ghost on its own thats the point of it I dont think I should override that with my hardcore setting but ill check how it could fail to make you a ghost after reaching max deaths

(2/2) I tried this with classic characters as well as ones explicitly set to hardcore. It seems that this mod simply does not work with hardcore characters, as when one dies despite the world still having deaths left in the death pool, the hardcore character immediately turns into a ghost. To combat that, I created a regular classic character and tried again. I enabled instant respawning to speed up the testing process and after the character died in the multiplayer world I setup 3 times, rather than immediately respawn as a ghost, the standard 15 second respawn timer showed up and the character respawned as normal. After dying a 4th (and beyond) time the mod writes to console that "Maximum amount of X lives has been reached!" but the character never turns into a ghost.

Was hoping someone/the dev could help with this to determine if it's a config issue or a bug.

Hey there, I think I might be running into either a bug or a config issue. I wanted to test out this mode for a hardcore playthrough some friends and I were planning to do. The ideal config I'm looking for is "3 players in a world, 3 lives total shared across the world, when all 3 are used, all players immediately turn into ghosts and the hardcore run is done."
Reading through the settings and the description, it seems like this mod was built to do exactly that, however when I ran a few test characters/worlds I couldn't get the functionality I wanted. (1/2)

I am just commenting to say whoever is updating this mod is about as amazing as it gets. in under a day, A DAY, an issue I commented was fixed and updated in the mod pack. I have never once felt like a review had any influence, but this Terraria mod workshop comment section has completely reshaped my perspective on life.

The mod was already great, just in calamity mod the eater of worlds would not be classified as a boss, so I just made all my worlds crimson, my favorite evil biome anyways. Apparently 8 hours after commenting, an update was made and fixed that very same issue, ALONG WITH a comment that told me directly that the issue was fixed, and his appreciation for alerting them to the issue. Please give this creator as much credit as you can, the work and dedication is admirable and has inspired me to do better in both life, my family, my future, my health, and my country.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I love this mod! its really good and it lets me do exactly what I want in terraria, which is prevent boss respawn cheese with multiple people by stacking deaths. I have a base respawn of 3 seconds, and add 6 seconds every death so that each death has a larger and larger penalty.

HOWEVER, there is a major bug. In the calamity mod, this respawn mod works properly with every boss EXCEPT the eater of worlds. which means that in the eater of worlds fight I will have a 3 second respawn. I hope this gets fixed soon since I can't use this mod in my corruption worlds on calamity.

It seems, whenever I have this mod enabled, my world starts in Hardmode. With "Boss checklist" mod enabled, I can see that new world comes with WoF already defeated. Is it intentional?

No matter what I try cant get instant respawn myself, double check newest version is 1.0.1v, try resetting config to default values, otherwise only "client" log file can help me find the issue you can send it in discord "blindeex" its located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\tModLoader\tModLoader-Logs

I'm also playing in multiplayer with calamity and instantly respawning too, I have the new version and it seems to only happen when I'm fighting the mech bosses.

/Revive command can be disabled for non host players, added /CleanseWorld command with explanation ingame. A lot of changes to the code cause it was actually decompiled and fixed up lol so if any issues appear or have requests fitting this mod lmk
