@imarra3, probably not if it's a custom scenario. The changes required to bring the robots into a scenario need to be done to scenario-specific spawn files. Your best bet is to open it in the mod editor and look for yourself, or ask the modder(s) who did Project X.

Seems like this causes issues with robot spawns in Guardians now for whatever odd reason. I only get the rare creature spawns.

this is a great mod. as are the rest. can you create a mod that lets you research surgical beds on all scenarios? is it only robots scenario?

Yes, your game doesn't have the robots available if you do not own the DLC.

Would you please add this to the military option as well. I read your previous comments, and realize it isn't your favorite thing to do, but if possibly I would absolutely love to use this on the military start!

I noticed some of the robots can drop galacticoins on death which can be annoying on the crash landing scenario since you are unable to properly sort them.

@jaggid...now how do you change the spawn ratio? been looking for the files in appdata and all around but cant find modfiles to tweak it. Mind giving me some help?

Ok, as long as it's RNG and there's light at the end of the tunnel. This must be my 3 point-blank missed shots @ 95% Hit-Chance in XCOM. LOL.

This mod does not touch salvage/scavenge result tables in any way.

Playing in Trading Outpost. Just an observation: so far there has been 4 Robot attacks. Not a single Electronic part were found in the salvaging. All I got were spare parts, scrap metals, and powercells.
In the vanilla Guardians every salvaging was flush with Electronics.

It should work in the trading scenario, @ezbz14, that's the one I play 90% of the time and it is the one I did most of the mod testing in.

I have used this mod with 3 of the 4 scenarios and it doesn't seem to work in the trading or military scenarios. I would love for this to work.

@LordHadez, yes, but each scenario requires customizing specific files for that specific scenario to tune the spawn ratios (otherwise you get robots more than anything else mostly).

If you want robot attacks enabled in Project-X, your best bet is to make that request with the project-X team themselves.

Heya, love the idea of this mod and I know what I'm about to ask my not work. Is it possible to make this work with any type of scenarios? I don't know how modding works in this game so not sure if that is something that can be done. Reason I ask is I use the Project-X mod as it allows for a much longer game with some nice add-ins. Wasn't sure if this could be made to work with that mod or not. Thanks and I understand if it can't be done.

No, this mod makes no changes to the game parameters which define spawn targeting and doesn't even include anything related to that.

Wondering are spawn points tweaked for robots with this. I havent played Guardians in a couple weeks, but they spawn like right in my camp now, like 30 squares from my main building. I dont remember that before. Do love the mod though

@jaggid fair enough. I'm experimenting more with play-through's that are long as well, thus the reason I'm looking for variety. I like the military scenario because I don't look at it like "military". Just a group of tough explorers building a relay to earth and then having to defend it (late game terms that is). Thus why I was looking for this mod/challenge. :steamhappy:

@HumbleSage, nah, all in good fun.

I just didn't enjoy the military scenario very much. My own personal play preferences are for slow research (3x slower than vanilla), and I also enjoy finding/recruiting new survivors as part of the playthrough. The military scenario doesn't really support either of those preferences.

Been playing a new Guardians scenario for a couple of days, and there's only been one insect attack out of about 40 fights. Spawn rate between the bots and wildlife attacks may need some adjusting?

No it does not, @HumbleSage. The Military scenario is my least favorite scenario, so I never play it. I won't upload a mod to the workshop without testing it, but I obviously cannot test on a scenario that I never play, hence why it does not.

This will definitely be great for Guardians so you can get a break from the robots and add some diversity to combat.

I'll fire it up and test it shortly, but we can adjust the drops from the killed robots, so that might help tone down the OP resource acquisition of dropping too many circuits and weapons breaking the early game struggle.

@Outlaw, yah, I had played with it just in my own game for a few days first, to make sure it was at least semi-functional the way I expected it to work.

The game can be a little funky sometimes. What you do in the mod editor does not always translate into gameplay the way you expect. And with the way attacks have that long cooldown between them, it took a while to get a few samples of attack spawns.

Most of the mods I uploaded in the past few weeks are ones I had been using in my own game for even longer than just a few days. In some cases, months.

The real question is "what is the movement speed of the male and female robots?"
J/K awesome job man, you mentioned this in another post and I meant to ask you to post it live, glad you did. I was hoping for something like this, or even raids by other survivors.
