Why is the stuff you create is either unnecessarily amount of too many shit happening at the same time or 2 minute DIY?

Conceptually I like this, but I think the stocking portion is a bit flat considering it's the largest part. The candy is fine since it's so small, it's not like anyone is going to be able to see it in much detail regardless. Plenty of effects like Gravelly Ghoul or Omniscient Orb use a big sprite as the focal point, and are still pretty well liked since they are stylish enough to pull it off. You've also got to deal with the fact that people have burnout from Smissmas cosmetics/effects, so you really need something to be amazing looking to get people onboard.
The stocking also has a white outline from being cut out, I think an alpha mask might fix that, like Lothedus said. Even if you keep the art as is, that error really brings down everything else, and should be fixed.

Yikes... It needs a LOT of work to not look super out of place first you should spend more time on the sock model to make it look more like some of the older effects like the spinning tf logo
