There are a couple ways you can do it yourself if you would like, that isn't overly complex to do.
I actually got less than your roll of fumo in my quest rewards myself. (But maybe that's from mid-run, but I'm uncertain.) It's set to a middle of the road frequency, so really shouldn't be popping up that much, however.

If you go into the directory I mentioned in the description, there's a "Buildings_Fumo.xml" file that you can open.
Search for " thingSetMakerTags " (there's only one defined, so if you find it, it's the right one.) and in it, you can change the, " RewardStandardMidFreq " text to:

RewardStandardLowFreq : Drops the preference down to ~40% of what it was.
or
RewardStandardQualitySuper : Drops the preference down to ~60% of what it was. This generates them skewed towards Masterwork/Legendary only however.

Is there a way to adjust the frequency of fumos as quest reward items? They're currently making up about 80% of my quest rewards and, while nice, they don't do much to help my people not starve to death in the winter or help me defend against pirates.

Thanks for the note, I've been able to reproduce this on my end and will look into it further to see how I can address it.
As for your last point, interestingly, this mod absolutely breaks on dev mode but apparently not outside of it. Regardless, I've built on top of the original, so...

Having a performance issue with this mod. The game really slows down the "speed up" function from 4x speed turns into 2x speed. Don't know why that happens, but I finally found that this mod was the culprit. The older fumo mod 1.3 still works for 1.4 despite the warning.

12/17: Nazrin added a few days ago! If you have the "stacking" XML in use, please repeat the steps you previously used to set it up! The updates will break your stacking ability for newly (re)placed fumos!

@Mayonnaise While I would love to add more fumos, I am sadly not an artist. If there are any artists around who would like to contribute, and can keep their contributions somewhat in this style though, I would love to add their work in as a new fumo!
But for now, the most I can do is code. My apologies!
