what was the debug command?
daniel_pace 2 Sep, 2024 @ 1:27am
I was able to change culture with debug mode

@JoJo You can add, edit or remove requirements in the mod's files. My idea here was to make it a realistically rare scenario, something you need the stars to align for. That being said, your ruler shouldn't need the Tolerant trait if they're young and skilled enough. Ping me on Discord (same name, Invictus server) if you need help in editing the files, or we can just chat about rebalancing this mod.

@RagingPapist Agreed. It makes more sense to me that a republic would adapt to a majority culture than a government ruled by an ethnic tribal council or monarch that is likely of the same blood, if anything those people would have a vested interest in -not- doing this decision.
I'm going to try fixing it for myself but I wouldn't know how to communicate it here without making a mess of the comments page.

In addition to the previous comment, I understand the thinking that goes into requiring your ruier have the tolerant trait to take this decision but in practice this seems unworkable. Idk how to guarantee my ruler get his trait outside of just cycling through them with kill commands and even then it takes a while to get a good roll. I could just not understand something kind of fundamental in how to encourage I get a ruler with this trait but in practice I think I need to turn this requirement off for myself, otherwise there's no point in having the mod as I'd never be able to use it.

Is there a way to make this work for Republics? It makes sense to culture swap if the nation is comprised of the majority being the new culture.

@yallang.ap You absolutely can, I have it and it doesn't crash.
yallang.ap 25 Mar, 2024 @ 11:14pm
I want to ask u that whether we can run this mod with Terra Indomita at the same time. I tried several times and ended up crashing

@Iskariota Good idea, I'll have it in for the next update! I don't even think it should be optional tbh
Iskariota 25 Mar, 2024 @ 4:55am
@Zamensis Could be "Realistic Tribes". Gave it a quick look and the tribal reform decision is just copied from invictus with the same requrements.

Another thing, would it be possible to add an optional decision to change unit models to match the adopted culture?
Zamensis  [author] 25 Mar, 2024 @ 1:39am
@Iskariota Weird, it should not be related, as there's nothing pertaining to cultures in that decision. Any other mod?
Iskariota 25 Mar, 2024 @ 1:07am
Not sure if caused by this mod, but after adopting Macedonian culture as a tribe, I was locked out of tribal reformation. The decision "Investigate Tribal Reform" would not appear despite having all requirements met.

@Panam Not without ruining this mod's compatibility with other mods. I guess that's how the devs intended it, that Egyptian Egypt doesn't have access to the unique Ptolemaic missions.
Panam 20 Mar, 2024 @ 9:25pm
It's very nice to finally be able to play an Egyptian Egypt, but I notice that once I got a local Kemitic Pharaoh, I lost all the unique mission trees. Is there any way to at least keep those trees?

Now a mod to make the Macedonian elite slowly slowly Egyptify to become Greeks with Egyptian sprinkles

@Paul Who are you playing as? Do you have a Native Majority among your cultures?
Paul 3 Jan, 2024 @ 3:11pm
For some reason the descision doesnt exist at all in my list.
Zamensis  [author] 31 Dec, 2023 @ 12:11pm
@Grunur Demote the Macedonian culture to Freemen so they slowly assimilate to your culture. Then it's just the usual game of assimilation. Build Theatres, check governor policies, choose the right deities, build Wonders, etc.
Grunur 31 Dec, 2023 @ 9:47am
could you hepl me in moving my capital.alexandria with her majority of macedonian population is no longer suitable. i would like to move it to the menphis aerea but i struggle with the majority of hellenic population required to shift
Grunur 31 Dec, 2023 @ 9:04am
i succeded in adopting boharic culture yeeeee. but now change religion to kemetic will require time
Zamensis  [author] 31 Dec, 2023 @ 6:01am
@Grunur Oh, and if your stability is low enough after you changed culture, a local noble family may very well challenge the Ptolemies and take their place :)
Zamensis  [author] 31 Dec, 2023 @ 5:59am
@Grunur No need! If you manage to adopt the Bohairic or Sahidic culture you automatically become "Native" Egypt, with everything that comes with it.
Grunur 31 Dec, 2023 @ 5:52am
i will try using your advices. thank you. Maybe it would be cool to add a mission tree to restore native egypt for example supporting the rebellion led by a native noble family
Grunur 31 Dec, 2023 @ 3:52am
hi! thank you for your work. I must say I personally found all the requirements for the ruler a little bit too much. I am having an hard time trying to change culture as egypt right now
Fallschirmkartoffel 14 Dec, 2023 @ 2:45pm
I still don't understand why the devs removed this from the base game
Zamensis  [author] 14 Dec, 2023 @ 9:14am
@Pavl Pavlpav I understand but I have good reasons not to do it. The main ones being, Invictus already covers it, and it could be redundant and/or prevent compatibility with other mods. Another reason is that I hate it when mods add all sorts of features I don't need. My philosophy is that people should have exactly what they sub for, nothing more, nothing less.
Zamensis  [author] 14 Dec, 2023 @ 8:27am
@Milckop Yes it does.
Pavl Pavlpav 14 Dec, 2023 @ 4:38am
This does seem like a cool mod, and I'd like to add a +1 to "do you think maybe you could do like basic formables for a few of the big empires, so that like barbarians could try to act like the successors of said empires."
Milckop 13 Dec, 2023 @ 7:46pm
does it work with invictus?
Unapologetically massive dickus 10 Dec, 2023 @ 2:25pm
Woah this is really cool, do you think maybe you could do like basic fomables for a few of the big empires, so that like barbarians could try to act like the sucessors of said empires after conquest like the babarians did to the Western Romans?
