AI cars obey railway signals. There are signals hidden in bushes, under rocks, etc, throughout this layout. I used circuitry underneath the layout to detect trains and force the signal to stop, but shortly after I published this map Rolling Line got an update that allows signals to detect other tracks or vehicles within a bounding box.

This layout is beautiful, especially the bridge over the frozen lake! Also, that spiral staging yard is genuinely one of the most impressive things I've seen in a good while, and it's incredibly satisfying to watch it cycle.
