Apearantly the mod has been abandoned so the shield UI Issue will not get fixed unless
A: the author decides to come back and release a final patch
B: another maintainer is found to takeover.
Either way I am hoping a final UI fix will be released because this would make the mod more usable and its unlikely ASE will be getting any future updates to break it

Right now the most critical issue with the mod is the lack of a text input to set the radius. Stepping up and down by .2 meters is hellish for configuring anything with a large multi and despite the multiplier the UI jams at 10m so this renders larger shields unusable without setting to max and slowly painfully dialing it down please for the love of god someone take over maintenance and give us a text input to just set the radius in one shot !!

What would not allow me to place the shield generator? The limit is set to one but I haven't placed one yet and it's green like I can place it but when I click it just disappears

Update: I tested a bit, only plots that are somewhat near the borders of the field were affected, moved the field to create more space between the field's borders (its walls?) and plots and they started to produce veggies again.

For some reason the field is affecting the crop plots, so no matter what the greenhouse effect becomes 0. I guess the issue comes from the regular tek field, since I found a person asking if it's normal that it turns off turbines and removes the greenhouse bonus. I guess there is no fix aside from turning off the field?

@Delta.w.p I think this mod is broken. I tried playing local but the problem is there too. it only lets me place one unit then gives me an error which I stated in my previous comment. I even tried increasing the limit and it still didn't fix the issue. Could you please fix this?

this mod was working just fine but now that I want to install more units it keeps saying no ground or snap point. did the mod break on me or is there some limitation I'm not aware of? can anyone please help?

I do not this shield will let you shoot out though the shield and keep people from shooting in. The shields use to work that way but stopped all at once. I play usually by myself and a shield like that makes it real nice capturing dinos. When it use to work it was configured in the ini

Hey @htdang12,

This version fixes:

1 - A game crash when opening the shield opacity window.

2 - The opacity window has been redone from scratch

3 - It adds the possibility of making the shield invisible in the opacity window (0.0)

4 - It adds the possibility of using wood as fuel rather than the shield being infinite, it is configurable in the ini by default this functionality is deactivated

5 - It corrects the shield which is at 0 opacity when we place it now 0.8

Is it necessary to use this newer safebase if the old one works just fine? I'm not clear on what this one does that the old one doesn't do...? What is the advantage to using this instead?
