"Runtime Error: C:\Users\Wouter\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\JFD's The Kingdom of Denmark-Norway (v 1)\Lua\JFD_DenmarkNorway_Events.lua:125: attempt to compare number with nil"
from what i can gather (I'm not too good with lua) it would seem that the game thinks the era is nil (I'm using the enlightenment era mod)
(Besides, whenever have THE SWEDISH !! had an armada big enough to threaten the Danish Fleet? )
I'm a Dane, and Chr. the 4th was awful. But thanks for making him anyway. You are a class act.
Once upon a time, Christian the 4th sailed out with his fleet, ready for battle.
Upon seeing a few Swedish ships in the horizon, he demanded of his valet "hand me my red shirt!". This was to ensure that the any bloodletting would not be visible, thus not discouraging his sailors and soldiers.
Unfortunatey, the few Swedish ships soon turned out to be a big armada.
Christian turned to his valet and now stated "Please hand me my brown trousers".
Christian IV didn't loose Norway, or a part of Jutland. He lost Jämtland, Ösel, Halland(Well, the treaty said that Denmark would get all those territories back after 30 years.) and Lübeck. He was a pretty good admiral, however a bad general. He did build a lot of important buildings and cities other than Round Tower, he built Børsen, Kastellet, Oslo, Glücksburg, Fredericia, the Church of Holmen and many, many more.
I really want to thank you JFD for making this mod, however the description almost makes it seem like Denmark was annexed or something, under the reign of Christian IV. Denmark was still a big maritime power after the reign of Christian IV, people like Niels Juel and Tordenskjold would continue to win great victories at sea, and the Danish navy was one of the 5 biggest navies until 1807. But again, thanks a lot for making this mod!
I'm a bit curious as to the Longboat, though. The vikings weren't really known for their naval warfare, nor for their use of archery. It is cool, obviously, but IMO a building or improvement (Such as a Trelleborg, one of the forts made by Harald Bluetooth?) would have fit better.
I do love the Danish-Norwegian kingdom, though. Brilliant!
